This docking station adds four main functions to your Windows® or Mac® computer. First, it adds both an HDMI and a VGA video port, which you can use to mirror your existing display or extend your desktop to use both displays. The HDMI connection supports the full 1920x1080p display resolution, when connected to your computer via a USB 3.0 port (720p is supported under USB 2.0). Using VGA, it supports a maximum resolution of 2048x1152 @ 32-bits. It also includes a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, which allows you to add network access without the need to install a PCI card or use a separate USB adapter.

A second Windows or Mac computer can be connected to the dock, which allows you to share files, even between a Mac and a Windows PC. Simply copy and paste or drag and drop the files from from one computer to another. Additionally, you can share the keyboard and mouse from the first computer to control the second computer. Using the Apple USB connection kit (not included), you can even use your computer's keyboard to type on your iPad!

The dock also serves as a USB audio device, allowing you to add advanced audio capabilities to any computer. It has a 3.5mm microphone input and 3.5mm stereo speaker output. It also features two USB 3.0 ports, one of which is a high current port for fast charging, a USB 2.0 port,
