I go through 1 to 2 toners cartridges a year. Only had a problem once in 5 years with this toner. It was leaving lines on the paper. I contacted HP and they sent a free replacement. The product is only as good as the company that makes it. So I would recommend this product.

Defective cartridge? Remanufactured Cartridge?

I usually order this HP Laserjet 15X cartridge from Costco, but seeing the lower price on Amazon.com I ordered this one. However, this was a defective cartridge that made lines all the way across the paper even after I distributed the toner according to product instructions, cleaned out the printer, and so on. This is not to fault the vendor. I suppose any cartridge could be defective. The box said that it was an original cartridge rather than a remanufactured one. It behaved more like a remanufactured cartridge, however. I ordered a replacement cartridge from Costco, and the replacement works great, so the printer was not at fault. In trying to save $15-20 (the difference in cost between Costco and Amazon), I lost $70, since the cartridge had to be thrown away. Lesson learned.
