Great Value, Good Build Quality

I recently purchased the Monoprice High Speed HDMI to Adapter DVI Cable to connect my old DVI monitor to an HDMI screen extender, and it works perfectly. The cable is well-built with sturdy connectors that fit snugly into the ports, ensuring a stable connection. The addition of ferrite cores helps to minimize any interference, which is a nice touch. Poor quality, poor connection. Do not buy!

As soon as I tried to get this plugged into my Sony monitor, I suspected there would be problems. The plastic connector heads were of a cheap plastic that was not stiff enough to hold up when I used a screw driver to tighten the vga connection, the vga head didnt seem to fit at a straight angle, and tightening the stabilizing screws didnt help. When I extdnded my laptop screen to the monitor, it sometimes flickered, sometimes displayed static, and this got worse over the day. Clearly a terrible purchase. I then tried the Amazon basics one and I have had no problems at all in several weeks of use.
