Best wireless mouse I've owned
By Mark B on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2011
This mouse is excellent. In the past, I've never been much of a fan of Logitech products, but this mouse has changed my perspective - I'll be more open to their brand as I shop for other gear. I am a software engineer, and I am at easily working at my computer for 8-10 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. The mouse tracks well, and is quite precise. It doesn't have that annoying, and to me, distracting, red glow. The nano-receiver is tiny - and works very well. It is much more reliable than any of the blue-tooth wireless mice I've had. It does occupy a USB port, but its well worth it. Best of all, the power usage is incredible. I have been using this mouse non-stop for almost 5 months now, and it's still running on the AA battery that came with it. When it's idle for some period of time, it goes to "sleep", conserving battery power. It automatically comes out of sleep mode when it is moved in the slightest. I've had other wireless mice that do this, but unlike almost every previous one I've had, this one recovers from sleep mode quickly and easily - almost imperceptibly. Other wireless mice I had - especially blue-tooth mice - have an annoying lag-time coming out of sleep mode - perhaps 1/2 second or so between the time you move the mouse and when the pointer moves on the screen. That doesn't sound like a long time but when it happens over and over, all day long, it is very annoying. I've had a multitude of mice over the 20 years I've earned my living at a computer, many of them wireless. This mouse is as good a mouse as any I've had, and absolutely the best wireless mouse I've had. And at this price, it's a great value.

Danged Middle Button!
By Josh Smith on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2015
Hello, I purchased this right about a year ago. I wanted to try it for a year before writing a review; knee-jerk reviews are often inaccurate. This is a good mouse. I probably use it more than the average person, and I've only changed the battery once. That said... I've noticed that the middle button on modern mice (push down on the scroll wheel) tend to get unresponsive after about three to six months. I use the middle button a LOT and have been in search of a mouse with a good one. This one isn't it. About the only cure for the unresponsive middle button on any mouse is to disassemble the mouse and flush the contacts with alcohol. This helps for a time and then there's no help for it. The upside is that expensive mice don't seem any less prone to this than inexpensive mice, and I therefore stick to the cheaper ones as I know I'll be replacing them every year or so, max. This one is at the end of its usable life at right around a year. The other buttons and the tracking still work very nicely, and I would give it five stars if it weren't for that danged middle contact. Regards, Josh Smith Smith-Sights LLC
