Expectations are critical here
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2020
It seems like when I read lot of existing reviews for this item there is plenty of disappointment. When I read what they're trying to power with these things it looks to me like expectations are way too high. These are very very small units. Even the largest one grouped on this page I would not consider to be adequate for a desktop computer. None-the-less, I confess I am confused to see this series of UPS promoted for (among other things) desktop computers and home theaters...big items with big power draws even though the largest in this series is only capable of providing a maximum of 400 watts and then only for 2 minutes (no doubt only achievable with a battery in perfect condition)! Considering I'm being asked as part of the review to rate WiFi signal be a big clue that somebody is terribly confused about what a UPS actually is and why you might want one of these in particular. All that said, think small devices. Think chargers, security system, an emergency LED light or two, maybe an average laptop (if it's own built in battery is lacking). I bought this specifically as a backup for our FiOS ONT (optical network terminator) so that internet would continue during a power outage. That is all this one does. I have a second slightly larger unit running all my networking equipment so WiFi and network jacks stay up and the internet remains serviceable during a power outage for a reasonable length of time (not indefinitely, not for a day, even an hour might even be pushing it), but certainly long enough to coast through a typical short term outage. And I haven't even had it a month and already it was tested earlier this week when the power went out for about 30 minutes, came back for about 10 minutes, then went off again for another 20. Internet stayed up and the kids probably never even noticed, and I was able to continue work from home on a laptop. The UPSes, all of them, operated well within ratings, performed as advertised: flawlessly.

Incredibly BAD, Died after 1 power cut. I'll be sending them back

Bottomline is after the first long power outage the units all stopped turning on.. I have recently setup a client office with 7 workstations. Since I wasn't sure on these I bought 3 of these unit and also some of the TrippLite units. The Tripplite has practically no software but I could configure windows settings to hibernate on battery power using windows 7 built in battery settings For these units, there was a nice UI that was used for managing the units. Great but not what I paid for. Now the true test of a UPS is a power outage. The units last like 7 minutes, but that is not my issue. As far as the client is concerned, a safe shut down is a priority. Now don't get me wrong, the units set the computers to hibernate all as expected. The KICK is when the power came back on. All, I REPEAT ALL the Cyberpower units were dead. NONE would power up again. I thought it was some kind of sick joke. A one use UPS? What are these? Disposable batteries?? Imagine the client's horror. Yeah it did the hibernate but not coming back on again is an even bigger nightmare. They are all scrambling to find extension sockets to plug stuff into. Luckily I had kept redundant surge protected extension cords at the site. I tried everything, unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. NOPE Pressing down on the power button for ages. NOPE Hit the reset button. NOPE. The units were all DEAD. I'm so angry, I felt compelled to write a review due to the incredible inconvenience experienced. For the record, This was no One off event. I have 2 units that I'm right now pushing all the buttons on and nothing. All I had plugged in was 1 workstation and its monitor. Clearly there is an inherent flaw in these units. HOW CAN AMAZON BE SELLING THIS JUNK?? I'm seeking a full refund for this junk.
