Above average starter all in one

I am very impressed that Kodak is still making quality printers with ink that won't break the bank. I believe the print quality in draft, for letters, is as good as the AIO 5500 I own while set to normal. Pros: (I chose the USB connection) fast printing, duplexing, inexpensive ink, very good quality printing, easy to set up (except for a software glitch). Cons: The two I know of, 1) the setup CD does not work, you must log on to the Kodak site and download the newest version of Kodak Home Center, 2) If scanning books, or anything of thickness, that would require the scanner lid to lie flat, you may be disappointed. The lid has a basic hinge which is not adjustable.

Initially, I really loved my new printer. It was very easy to set up,and ink is very reasonably priced. I've used it for about a year, and over time, I began to have a problem with the printer portion of the machine. Sometimes it would print out my computer document or photo, and sometimes it wouldn't. Recently, it quit printing altogether. The indicator tells me it's printing, but nothing happens, and there is no print out. The scanner still works, so that I can scan documents into my computer, but it will no longer print FROM my computer in order for me to have a hard copy. This makes this product useless for my needs, and I will need to replace it so I can have a reliable printer. I don't think I'll be getting another Kodak 'all in one' printer/scanner/copier.
