Great monitor, as long as you know your laptop/phone/hub support USB C video
By Lee R Tracy on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2024
This is a nifty portable monitor. Part of the reason I am so happy with it is that I got one used for only 49.99. The included magnetic cover does double duty protecting the screen when you're not using it, and holding the screen up when you're using it. And it works perfectly. Plug it in using the included USB-C cable, and bam. It works with my iPhone 15. It also works perfectly with my Mac Book Air, where I can easily use it in vertical or horizontal format. But it will not work with my work Dell laptop--that doesn't support USB C Video. BE AWARE-- if you want to connect a keyboard and mouse as well, via a hub, you have to be careful. The only hubs that pass through USB C video are pricey as of 6/2024. Look for "DP Alt Mode Video" in the description (the cheapest I could find was the "Startech 4 port USB hub with USB DP Alt Mode Video Output for 79.99).

Monitor broke after 1 week of use. Extremely disappointed by fragile product design
By drupeer on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2022
I'm extremely disappointed by this AOC monitor's fragile product design. It worked for 1 week, and then it broke and the warranty process wasted hours of my time just to hear a "sorry no this isn't covered". In sum, I wasted $150 just waste another 4 hours getting a warranty process that said no. To be clear, when the monitor works, it's great — the picture quality is high-res, it's supposed to be portable, and it worked great the first day. In fact, if it had kept working, it would've been a 5-star review. But since this is a *portable* monitor — and note that *portable* is one of the monitor's key features — I carried it around by putting it in my backpack right on top of my 16" MacBook Pro (same size as monitor). Unfortunately, one of those times (and in the 1st week), carrying it this way broke a corner of the monitor's LED screen, causing several rows of its pixels to die — even though my MacBook is perfectly fine. If you buy this monitor, BE VERY CAREFUL that while it's supposed to be "portable", it's actually very fragile — much more fragile than a laptop. In fact, you can see this by pressing on the plastic edges of the monitor — they're very flimsy and provide very little protection to the LED screen. I believe this fragile product design is what caused my monitor to break after 1 week of use while my MacBook, having been carried in my backpack the same way for years, has never broken. Finally, the warranty team tries to be helpful, but 1) their policies don't cover this issue even though it's a direct result of their poor product design, and 2) to get through their warranty process you'll have to call them because their emails responses don't go through — I sent them 4 emails, which when I called they said they received and responded to, but I never saw their responses (even in the spam folder) and had to call them each time to hear next steps. The final one of which was "no sorry this isn't covered". Ugh.
