Top Quality Headphones for Very good Price Packaging looks Nice, quality made Headphones very well made Extreme Durability ***even at the pivot points*** High quality materials that look professional Very Good Mic (Mutes when lifted up) Comfortable after many hours Has a smooth turning volume control wheel on the side of ear pad Sound is phenomenal Great bass and quality sound without Amp.. But With amp these things are unreal.... Read full review for details. ***Get a amp to reach full potential*** Recommended amp - JDS Labs Objective2- check it out. for 150$ these headphones are a steal. You will be satisfied. You will forget all about your old headphones once you put them on. I absolutely Love these headphones. I was a little worried switching over from my 7.1 USB surround sound headphones but once I got these I fell in love immediately. To start they came in a nice sleek Box that looked well made and clean haha even though its just cardboard it looked nice I dont want to throw it away. In the Box were the Headphones in a carrying case that looked really nice and was sturdy. It will protect the headphones very well when traveling ect. Once I actually opened the case and took the headphones out I could immediately see the quality of materials and the well thought design. I got the Gaming Zero black and red edition. I gotta say they look really nice not too big not too small. They are very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The Mic sounds great as well. Excellent quality for headphone mic. One of the big reasons I got them because of their durability. My friend had these headphones and he was showing me how strong they were. He grabbed the earmuffs and twisted them in opposite directions very far and it didn't even looked strained. One of my older pairs of headphones broke at the spot where the headband connects with the Ear Pads and the ones I bought after that felt very fragile I was careful not to grab the headphones by the ear pads and pull them apart just in case they broke at the same spot. But with these there is literally no worry of that at all. Honestly to break these it seems like you would have to intentionally try to break them. But last and most importantly.. The sounds... These things are amazing! The sound truly is very crisp and clear. But I do want to add DONT BUY THESE HEADPHONES WITHOUT AN AMP. Now of course you can and they will still be far better than your old headphones but they will not even come close to the potential they have. Since they are only 150$ now I said what the heck and bought the amp as well which was around 150$ JDS Labs Objective2. Lets just say my buddy that had these headphones for over a year without an amp got super jealous lol. But really these things can seriously crank out some loud Bass. They hit very low Bass and sound really good. I actually get the feeling of my ears tickling a little bit when wearing these haha plus they dont sound like they are about to blow. They remind you of being in a car with subs!.So with the amp and headphone combo that I got for the same price as these headphone used to be it is 100% worth it not even a penny wasted. I am considering buying a backup pair just in case the price bumps up or something like that happens. This is one of those buys that you will actually be happy with the price you paid and feel like it was a great deal. If you need headphones just buy these I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Also Check out the JDS Labs Objective2 it works beautifully with these headphones. Just be prepared to be blown away.. literally. ————- Update————— 12/2023 It’s been about 5 years and I’m still rocking this same set of headphones. Sound quality is still great, and the mic works like when it was new. After thousands of times flipping mic up it’s never broke on me yet. The only thing I needed to replace were the ear muffs because of the leather getting worn out from A LOT of use. If these ever break I’m going to but this same pair. Especially now that’s it’s 100$ cheaper! I have brought these headphones all over the country and they are still going strong!

These are a hard pass for me...

I purchased these with high hopes but was horribly let down. Plugging in via on-board (both front case and main back) they sounded weak and tinny. Plugging in via my Sound Blaster Z, the powered boost helped in terms of volume, but the lack of substance / tinny undertone was now even more dominant. Going even further, I plugged them into a GoXLR to utilize even more of a 'boost', still tinny. My XLR makes a $15 headset from Walmart sound amazing, it did no justice here. I even went as far as purchasing a USB adaptor in one last effort to know for sure that it wasn't a lack of power to the unit, it's just the quality of the speakers, still tinny / no substance. The default leatherette ear pads are comfortable, but cheap feeling and I could tell that they would crumble over time because it's the 'thin' material that just flakes when they dry out OR get overused. Because of this, I did purchase Felt earpads (search for Genuine Sennheiser HZP 26 Replacement Ear Pads Cushions). They fit beautifully and made the unit more comfortable, this did not assist with the sound, if anything made it worse because your ear was no longer 'locked' into the leather, so they were swapped back to the original pads. I'm not looking for headphones that will rattle my eardrums, by any means, but having absolutely no substance on any song listened to, or game played, just takes away from the overall experience, especially on the higher end of $150. An audiophile would absolutely hate these, and the sound issues (no matter having an EQ adjustment or flat) caused issues in-game where I didn't hear any footsteps for anything going on around me. In an FPS it's essential to know your surroundings, no settings anywhere on my PC allowed for this without having to full crank these to 100% on both the computer AND the headset. I wish I could give these less than a 1 star, but Amazon doesn't allow for it. I've already started the return process on these, really unfortunate. I'll continue my search for something better.
