Awesome Printer. I am using this for its Scan ...
By Bizzle on Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2015
Awesome Printer. I am using this for its Scan to Network Folder/Email option. It was extremely easy to setup and update the firmware. The printing is fast and reliable. The scanning looks great and is rather quick for a $200 printer. The software is easy to use and setup. I have it setup onwireless and it was a snap. I am able to log into my wireless internet through the LCD panel which makes it so that you don't have to connect a USB cable to your computer and install the printer that way before you hook it up to the internet (Like some dell printers). The web interface is easy to use and very robust with tons of features. Must have for someone looking to Scan their documents to a network share. Printing works great but I really don't print that much. Remember to take the orange tab off your ink cartridge or else it will say the ink cartridge is bad.

Printer will not install on Win 10 machine
By Ronald M. Coleman on Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2016
I purchased this product a week ago and it shipped promptly. I tried to install it today but after a very long time (approx. a half hour) I got a message saying "Error: An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use". I found this very annoying particularly considering that it was replacing a slightly older model HP printer, using exactly the same printer cable attached to the same PC (a 2 year old Dell Win 10 machine with LOTS of memory, disk space, i7, etc., i.e., not an obsolete machine) The error message contained no useful information, e.g., an error code. I tried it 4 more times, naturally with the same result. The computer knows the printer is there, and even knows the exact model of the printer because it displays that information to me. I can test that the printer is alive and physically able to print because it can scan and copy a piece of paper. The software simply failed. Just so you know, I own half a dozen HP LaserJets, have worked extensively with PC's and laser printers for decades. This is simply unacceptable. The HP website was of no use and does not actually list this error message for this printer. I am absolutely and totally dissatisfied with this purchase. HP should be able to do much better. When you buy a laser printer, it should just work out of the box. Update: I have spent the entire evening on "Chat" with HP support. In four hours (!) they have accomplished absolutely nothing. The first technician simply tried to reinstall it again and surprisingly it did not work. He then "went away" never to be heard of again. The next technician did exactly the same thing, i.e., tried to reinstall it, then when it failed, he went away. Update 2: We finally got it working. It works great now, but it did take over 6.5 hours of time on chat and three different technicians to get it working.
