Surprisingly Good, Excellent Price.

Having all intention of purchasing another Logitech G330, I came to the inter-web to discover that not just Amazon (where I purchased my original), but every other online retailer was now selling that headset at almost $100 compared to my original purchase price of less than a third of that. Being way to frugal to even consider those prices, we tried these. My wife, three sons (1st through 4th grade), and I all find these surprisingly comfortable. Although not the "behind the head" style I prefer, my sons all find these much more comfortable for the longer online classes they use them for. The foam earpiece covers are not perfectly fitted, but no hotspots or other discomfort develops even over the course of a morning marathon of schoolwork. The microphone boom, USB cable, and inline controls all feel very solidly built. Putting myself on the receiving end of a Skype call from a family member using these, we agreed that the microphone was clear and ambient noise was well attenuated. The inline volume control controls the actual system volume (in Windows, anyway) so visual feedback is instant. The only quirk we've found with the iMicros is both our headsets require the system volume to be set no higher than 4%, and comfortably at 2%. This doesn't affect sound quality which is very reasonable for an $11 headset - even very good compared to my Logitechs; it is just quirky.I'm honestly considering purchasing another two pair of these so I have backups for our family of five - online classes, Rosetta Stone, and conference calls/Skype calls have all done very well with this headset. I rarely write product reviews, but after purchasing these without much hope of them being of much quality considering the rest of the market, I am honestly and very happily surprised. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a USB only computer headset.

WAS: So far, so good. IS: Complete junk.

I needed a stereo headset so I could combine VoIP use with my normal audio diet, but did not want to pay the going rate for Plantronics or another first-tier marque. This iMicro IM320 fits my bill perfectly. Note that the cord includes a volume/mute controller not pictured in the Amazon description. This isn't quite as comfortable as the Plantronics I use at work, and there are better headphones out there for music, but this is a great price point for a day-to-day headset.Another point in the IM320s favor is that I wanted a USB interface to provide audio devices separate from existing soundcards. This one works just as great under Linux as it does under Windows 7.EDIT: I had this headset for a little over two months. I used it very lightly, as a matter of fact maybe 5 times total, for less than an hour. Tonight, I used it to listen to videos in private, and at about 10 minutes the headset clicked and died. No sound, no LEDs lit in the control unit. I pulled & reinserted the USB plug and heard clicks, but no LEDs. No corresponding devices showed up in response to "lsusb" or under my sound controller. Kernel messages indicate that the system detects a USB device, but the ID read fails. Appears to be a hardware failure, totally dead. It's out of the return window and at this price, not worth the hassle of attempting any sort of warranty fix. Performance was good while they lasted but this is just a cheap piece of junk.
