A great Phantom 3 case, with a bit of work...
By Xavier on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2015
It will fit the Phantom 3 and Controller, and can hold props but it took me 90 minutes with kitchen knife to get it all dialed in, and I really quite like it. It was inexpensive but seems sturdy enough, its very light, and works well. This morning I hiked it 500 feet up a nearby hill, launched from the trail and all worked well. (I keep a ground cloth in the outside pocket to keep the backside with the backpack straps clean, otherwise you'll get your back filthy when you put the case down in dirt, then put it back on your back...)Notes: You can figure out how to carve out the controller slot, not trivial but do-able. Then I cut out the separator between the left side battery holes, extended it towards the upper left P3 motor a bit, and put both my props in there, even the 4 extras in the nice bag DJI provided. Also, if you carve up the lid a bit (including the end near the "hinge" of the lid), you can avoid removing two props, love that. Later I extended that idea, and cut slots to keep ALL FOUR props on, two sticking out the top, which works fine while hiking, or if you're careful, even storing it in your trunk like that. I joined the two front batter slots to make one big slot, which then holds the charger and cables. Then I put velcro on each corner of the lid foam so it stays where it should.

Good size. Bad quality.
By Kynan on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2016
Needed something that would fit on a smaller regional jet (ERJ and CRJ as flown by United Airlines). Sizing is good. Fits under the seat (not in the overhead) on the right side of the plane. The problem is quality. I've only had it for a few days and it has been mostly sitting on the floor. Only used while traveling this week. The shoulder straps have almost completely ripped through where they connect at the top. Too light of weight of material is used. Basically the weight of the backpack has ripped the straps.I may try to reinforce/fix the bag because the fit is good and what I was looking for. Or, I may return it. Haven't decided yet.I've given it one star because of the quality issue - it doesn't hold up to normal use.Unfortunately, it is one of the only bags that will fit in a regional jet.
