Best sound you can get in gaming. Mixer is a must imo...

These headphones are fantastic! If you are hesitant about buying trust me I have gone through 6 pairs of headsets between me and my girlfriend and these things are worth the investment. We use these exclusively for our computer and the sound on these is astounding! We bought the mixer with the headphones and honestly Its worth having however it is in my opinion a bit on the pricey side for what it does. The mixer allows you to switch between sound presets, control the master volume, and change the volume of game sound and voice chat so that you can turn one easily up and the other down, The headphones are fine on their own however the noise cancellation is pretty abysmal in comparison to other cheaper headphones out there. You pretty much will have to buy the mod kit if noise cancellation is a serious selling point for you. I have never had such a nice pair of headphones and I can hear everything when gaming with these things. I can hear people coming from any direction and hear their characters making callouts giving them away. These things are a must for those that want to have some fantastic gaming headphones. Also the software is pretty simple to understand... UNTIL you start making presets for games then it is a little confusing at least it was for me I personally just use the preset modes it comes with. TLDR Pros: Perfect for gaming Can hear EVERYTHING in game Fantastic quality and fits my head perfectly (small head and ears) Mic is pretty solid for the most part Mixer is a wonderful and easy to use addon You will never want another headset after you buy this Pretty durable for you ragers out there Comes with every cord you could need including optical Cons: Price is pretty high and trust me you want it with the mixer Software is a little confusing Natural noise cancellation is pretty lack luster Will likely need to buy the mod kit for noise suppression

Terrible for streaming, not worth the asking price.

Second set after an RMA. First set had faulty ear cups (would squeak/creak so loudly the mic would pick it up.) They're comfortable and sturdy, but not very adjustable so they're a little tight if your head is on the larger side. Not much comes in the box. You get the headset, the MixAmp, and the appropriate cables. No software for PC is included, and must be downloaded separately. For my purposes, the headset is primarily used for streaming and is going to be worn for long periods. The first few nights of use it's worked out well, and has remained comfortable after hours of use. No soreness, no overheating. There are some issues with the mic. It has some popping and hissing, no matter how much fiddling is done with settings on the user side. The Astro Command Center (PC Software) isn't very good. The software is sparse, most of the settings are undocumented or you simply have to refer to a website to know what you're actually changing. It's a very poorly put together piece of software. All that being said, these are replacing a pair of Logitech Artemis Spectrum 933's. These are much, much better in terms of physical design, and performance. It's a step up. Edit: Rating reduced a week after purchase. After further spending a week streaming with these headphones, and further attempting to clear up the static/crackling sound upon speaking; the issue remains and isn't software side. Both sets had this issue. For 250 dollars, it's unacceptable.
