Exceeded Expectations
By Jamie L on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2015
I admit I was skeptical about purchasing two of these Korea-originating monitors at the same time, but the specs I wanted were all there and I really wanted to upgrade my excellent – and very pricey - Dell 24" monitors I've had for many years without breaking the bank. I was looking forward to gaming on my bigger, higher resolution monitors, but I was committed and almost resigned to sending them back if they did not meet all my expectations. I must say my initial expectations were highly exceeded. Both arrived securely packaged and were easy to install. Both fired up without a hitch or any extensive calibration. DVI and DisplayPort connectivity testing was seamless, and I must say I was highly surprised and pleased with the excellent picture quality right out of the chute. I put both monitors through their paces by running the 3D Mark and Heaven benchmark tests with settings maxed out, and they performed flawlessly. I easily overclock the stock 60hz refresh rate to 100hz on both monitors without any in-game frame issues or stuttering of any kind. I probably could have gone up to the full 120hz as stated in the item description, but I didn't wish to push any luck. Besides, any benefits to bumping past 100hz are negligible in my opinion. It was an obvious step up going from my former monitors' 1920 x 1200, locked 60hz refresh rate to 2560 x 1440 at 100hz for about the same price as just one of the "name brand" monitors I extensively researched for days.Pros:• Can't beat the value as it's a great price for the picture quality and color reproduction. Gaming was much more immersive and vibrant.• Lots of customization options and display modes• Both units were easily overclocked for that fantastic refresh rate that rivals some of the top-of-the line brands• Ran cool and buttery smooth at 120hz during prolonged periods of triple-A title FPS gaming.Cons:• Build quality of the chassis seemed a bit on the cheaper side and "plasticky", but then I don't plan on carting these large beasts around.• The stand that comes with the monitor seems at best limited, but I never planned to use it anyway.• The mounting area on the back of the monitor is a bit rounded so it does not sit flush with the plates on my dual monitor VESA mount and the mounting holes seemed a bit shallow; I was able to overcome this easily with a few cheap hardware store rubber washers that tightened up the fit just fine.• The rear base of the monitor does have an approximate 3-inch plastic "tail", intended to join with the included stand apparatus, that is not removable without voiding the warranty. I can easily overlook it, but for some it might be a bit of an eyesore.• While the on board controls work as intended, there is somewhat of a learning curve of button mashing in navigating the rather impressive amount of control settings. Conclusion: While the cons may seem to outnumber the pros, they were all very minor issues to me when compared to the picture quality, the customization and, most of all, the value. Overall, I'm very impressed with this product. Time will tell if these monitors hold out as long as my workhorse Dells did, but I'm hoping they'll exceed my expectations in that area as well.

Damaged
By Lucas Bettcher on Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2023
The upper left hand corner and a strip on the right side are significantly darker than the rest of the monitor. I assume this is from rough handling in transit. While I got what I expected from a 100$ monitor, I’m still disappointed by the overall quality. It cannot be adjusted to any angle at all and sits facing upward, meaning you would have to place something under the stand to make it lean forward, risking it falling over. None of the buttons are labeled. If you can avoid it but direct and bring it home yourself. Unfortunately I was taken up by the deal of a cheap 4K monitor and with low expectations was still let down. I do not blame the company solely for these damages. I strongly believe the package was thrown at some point and that is the main cause of the worst issue, the dark patches. The majority of the screen is in good condition. A very cheap screen overall, unfortunately just not worth the price even at $100.
