Dell Professional P2217H 21.5" Monitor

I ordered this from Amazon, and it was delivered (on a Sunday!) in reasonable period of time.I was a bit skeptical that some users had a bad experience with quality and functioning of the monitor, and that Dellwould not honor the purchase / service directly. Still, those bad reviews were a very small percentage, so I decided to gowith this monitor.I have connected it to a Windows (on HDMI port) and a Mac (on lightning-DP cable), using two different ports. Bothmachines work pretty well. I use this monitor mainly for documenting editing, mail, spreadsheets and some workstuff. I am not finnicky and cannot detect great detail of resolution issues, so can't comment on flicker andclarity etc. But, overall the display works very well, and very clear for my needs.I did not have to fine-tune any settings, both machines' display works well immediately upon connecting the cables.Mounting this on the stand was VERY EASY. I am not a equipment guy, and it was still simple enough for me tomount the monitor on its base. Like others have also commented, the base, mounting is very robust and stable.And the rotation, adjustment, height, angle, swivel, tilt -- all are very easy. I'm pretty pleased with the ergonomics.I have a similar model, but slightly larger, Dell monitor at work. The one nice thing about this one (possibly arecent model) is that the buttons on the bottom right of the monitor to select the input source and other settingsare raised a bit; like a little button on the frame. This makes it very convenient to know that you are selecting someinput. (Unlike on the similar monitor I have at work, where these input selections are somewhat notched into theframe, so one has to select them carefully.) The little pimple like selector on this display is much better!The monitor has 3 inputs, I think, if I recall right - HDMI, DP and VGA. The provided cable for the DP but it would notwork for my Mac, where I needed a Lightning (mini-DP?) port to DP cable. I had to get one from outside, which wassort of irritating. It would have been better if Dell had thrown-in an extra cable to be used with the Mac.At its price of 225$ this monitor is well-worth it.
