This is an awesome monitor! It’s definitely built for gaming and has all the features that gaming monitors require these days to handle the increased image processing. I did a ton of research before buying this and there is no other monitor out there that gives you all these features for the price. It’s difficult to do a review without going over all the features that I liked, so let’s go through them one at a time: Quad resolution. This monitor has 2560x1440 pixel dimension and a really small pixel pitch of .243mm. This is much smaller than most monitors and helps create the crisp, sharp images that this monitor produces. 144Hz refresh rate. This monitor refreshes the screen over twice as often as your average 60Hz monitor. This allows me to play games with high frame rates of up to 144 without any tearing that you would normally see in monitors with lower refresh rates. I’ve experienced no screen tearing at all playing Battlefield 1. The picture is also sharper because faster refresh rates significantly reduce motion blur on this monitor. Adaptive Sync. You need this. Adaptive sync eliminates stuttering that is caused when the frame rate of your game drops below a certain level. It also minimizes tearing by syncing the frame rate with your GPU if your game wants to go over what the monitor’s refresh rate can handle. As long has you have a supporting Intel or AMD GPU like I do, you’re golden. 1 millisecond response time. There is no ghosting on this monitor in any of the games I played! The big benefit of a TN panel is that we get these ridiculously fast response times, which is basically how fast these pixels can change from one color to the next.

For AOC Engineering/Customer Service, 5/11/2017 - 7/6/2017 is *Over One Year*
By Lawrence Chung on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2017
Edit: comments below updates situation. I purchased this monitor on May 11, 2017. (05 / 11 / 2017). Since then (less than 2 months), I have 3 dead pixels. I understand manufacturing processes aren't perfect, but AOC (whom I have used in my office on many occasions) was entering the premium space. I thought I'd give them a shot, it was a good price. The looks and performance have been exemplary until these pixels, but that is not the worst part. Since I contacted them late last week, I have received 3 emails. 1. First email consisted of an automated response which is normal. 2. I then spoke with Romeo at Envision Peripherals, which I assume handles AOC's warranty and RMA procedures here in the U.S. 3. Lastly, I received an email from their 'engineering' team which says they will not honor the warranty on this product.... *Because their panel coverage is only for one year.* Here is the email from a 'Service MANAGER' in engineering. Hello Lawrence, The ACO panel warranty is 1 year from the purchase date. Per your invoice, this panel is out of 1 year warranty. Thank You, Pin ******* Service Manager Philips Monitors | AOC Monitors Suffice it to say, it may be best that I take it up with Amazon customer service, whom I am hopeful after 14 years of business with me, has the ability to calculate timespans from May 2017 until July 2017. I am amenable to updating this review should AOC actually provides appropriate support for my issue.
