Lives up to its claims

These are fantastic. I have a larger home where hard lines would be nice to have, especially with Pro-level gamers in the house, but impractical to disperse throughout the house. These have definitely delivered on the speed and ease of installation. You simply plug the first one in near your router, run a hard line ethernet cable from your router to the first PowerLine, then plug in the second anywhere else in your house (haven't tried using it in a powerstrip or some other electrical splitter, though so not sure if that would be an issue) and run a hard line ethernet cable from the 2nd box to your computer and boom! Same speed as your computer directly connected to your router. I'll be ordering a wifi version of this for the various TV-connected units that don't have hard line capabilities (like my Roku stick and Chromecast). Awesome product. Can't rave enough about it.

Works - but certainly not pulling 1000 Mbps

Works - but certainly not pulling 1000 Mbps or even close to the 300 Mbps I'm pulling straight from my modem - comes in at about 40 Mbps. My 5ghz wireless connection actually provides much faster speeds. This may be practical for larger homes where a repeater/range extender isn't feasible, and a hard-wire connection is needed. The wiring in my house is not old, so there is no reason it shouldn't perform at optimal speed.
