Still the Best After 2 Years – A True Gaming Workhorse!
By Gozer The Destroyer on Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2025
I've owned the Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset for over two years now, and it's hands-down one of the best tech investments I’ve ever made. From the moment I started using it, I was blown away by the amazing sound quality and clarity. The directional surround sound is spot on, giving you a serious edge in competitive games—footsteps, gunfire, or distant enemies, you hear it all with precision. The wireless range is impressive, and I’ve experienced zero sound degradation as long as I’m within the intended distance. Whether I'm at my desk or walking across the room, the audio remains crystal clear. Comfort-wise, this headset nails it. It’s light on the head, and the ear cuffs are incredibly soft and breathable, making long gaming sessions a breeze. Plus, the earmuffs offer excellent passive noise cancellation, which creates an immersive experience—from whispers to full-on cinematic volume levels, all without distortion. The mic picks up my voice clearly, even in noisier environments, and friends often comment on how clean I sound. The build quality has also stood the test of time—no cheap materials here, just solid and reliable construction. Lastly, the battery life is stellar. Even at higher volumes, it easily powers through long gaming sessions without needing a recharge. If you're looking for a headset that offers performance, comfort, and durability, the G533 delivers all that and more. Absolutely worth every penny!

Logitech's long reputation tarnished by bad hardware, crap software and planned obsolescence.
By Golfin'Dolphin on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2021
UPDATE: After having these headphones for a few months, they've become an even greater source of frustration. The microphone no longer un-mutes when the mic arm is dropped. Despite hardware troubleshooting, it's a software issue with the crappy G-hub application that doesn't work anyway. I hate these headphones and I'm so done with logitech. Don't buy these and don't support Logi. --- My first experience with Bluetooth headphones were the Logitech G935 with greatly mixed results (I used to love until customer support's planned obsolescence F***ed me), ultimately leading to my frustration of Logitech. Hoping for renewed trust, I picked up the G533. They failed the test. Disappointing sound, quiet microphone and poor design make these the forgettable middle child of Logitech's degrading quality products. Continue reading for more details. Feel: Out of the box these headphones were much lighter than the G935 primarily around the ears and headband. They fit nicely around my head and the mesh padding does a good job of making a snug but not uncomfortable fit. They're a little less comfortable with glasses but you'll find that with most 'over-ear' headphones. The volume control roller knob is located on the left hand side, making it easy to make quick adjustments, right above a 'mute' button. I have no issues with these features and are honestly placed nicely. They don't have RGB. I wish they did, but I won't take off points. It's just a design decision. Sound: The sound quality is noticeably lacking. The overall sound results are 'tinny', having twangy hollow highs and a lackluster bass that seems to be more generic than detailed. These ARE NOT DTS 7.1 Surround Sound. Buzzword marketing from Logi goes great lengths to hide this. L and R auto channels often feel miss-balanced and difficult to pin-point footsteps or gunfire. The sound is 'ok' but ultimately disappointing for headphones of this price range. For even more frustration, the logitech G hub software does not have EQ adjustments meaning you're stuck with this sub-par sound. There is no support for surround sound on Mac or Linux?! Microphone: During meetings and gaming, most of my team notes the voice to be low gain. Even at top pick-up volume set by Playstation/Win/Mac the voice comes through on the quiet side, yet strangely high fidelity. Other fireteam members reported being able to hear ambient noise better than my own voice... Whaaaat? Additionally, the physical microphone flips up/down for mute. I like this feature a lot. What I don't like is that when the headphones are around your neck with the mic flipped up, it will poke a rough metal end-cap into your neck. Bothersome and frustrating. I can't understand how the QA team missed this. Bluetooth: The ONLY thing that impresses me about these headphones are the range of the bluetooth connection. I'm able to wonder 20 - 30 feet from the USB dongle and still get a solid connection. A vast (and only) improvement over the G935s. That being said, it will sometimes take one or two unplugs of the USB dongle to get the system to register a connection, especially on low battery. I'm on the fence about returning these. For the price of $80 USD there's other, better headphones out there and I've been burned my Logitech one too many times. If this is your first pair of bluetooth headphones, get them. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.
