Working through Acrobat Pro withdrawals

Review after 4 weeks of use including 2 weeks with trivial version. Here’s the deal. I am a looooong time Acrobat Pro user but could not justify the $15/mon subscription price. So I climbed the ladder and dived from the Power PDF board and have fixed feelings. Most bothersome at first was that you have to load prerequisites from a folder before installing Power PDF. I only found this out after I could not see any of my scanners and had to actually call tech support (incidentally the tech support was very good). On Nuance website there is a FAQ that tries to address this but it fails to say even on Windows OS x64 to install the X86 application. Once I did this I was able to see my scanner and life with Power ODF was off after a rocky start. Now my current complaint is the extension for Google Chrome does not work even though it displays on the extension area. So to convert a webpage you have to print page instead which appears to convert fine but is not as convenient as it should be.
