This works perfectly with both my work laptop and my personal laptop due to the versatility of the adapter (usb-c for work, usb-a for personal). I've got two external monitors, a webcam, headset, mouse and keyboard all connected and working great. It even powers my work laptop. I purchased a used model at a huge discount and it works perfectly!

Died after 7 months, Dell doesn't honor warranty for Amazon purchases

The dock worked well while I had it, except that it did not work consistently with 3 external monitors (sometimes all three monitors connected, sometimes only two), only with 2 monitors. But for 2 external monitors it worked reliably for both a Lenovo PC laptop and a Macbook pro.Then after 7 months it suddenly died. Dell's support told me that warranty for this model is only 6 months, and regardless they will not honor it if it is purchased on Amazon or anywhere else other than Dell's website. They also said that this dock was discontinued. So I was out of luck.After this D6000 deck died, I researched replacement options including other manufacturers and ended up buying the Dell UD22 on Dell's website with 3-yr warranty. The UD22 has pretty much the same outer case as this model but apparently newer internal components. So far it works well.I was not inclined to buy again from Dell given this experience, but I was not able to find any other better option for a universal deck. I am out $200 on the D6000 and am pretty disappointed at Dell over this. They need to honor warranties across all retailers so people can buy products where it's most convenient for them.
