All of my kids have had some form of these, the worry free guarantee and Amazon kids for a year. They are pretty durable tablets and great for kids. Highly recommend.

Breaks easily and not really autism-friendly.
By LM Smith on Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2018
We've always gravitated towards the tablets made by a certain fruitbased company, as they were always highly recommended due to the amount of apps that exist for children with autism. We bought a fruitbased tablet three years ago, and it's been used as a frisbee, had formula poured over it and been dropped and smacked probably a gazillion times. We've had to buy new screen protectors twice and cases too. As we fear that it's nearing the end of it's life, we started searching for reviews for good, child-friendly tablets, and we came upon very good reviews for the Kindle Fire 8, several which mentioned being autism-friendly. This was right before the 10 was released, so we decided to try it. A two year-warranty is also pretty good, as with kids, anything can happen. In any way... The good: * It didn't feel as slow as I feared. * The screen looks bright. * Separate child accounts. * The warranty has been useful. The bad: * If you ever travel abroad, most of the content will not be usable, as it's geolocked, and there's no VPN-service you can get to work within FreeTime. Prepare to have a frustrated child on your hands, as they suddenly cannot view the show they wanted to. Even Prime-originals suffer from regionlock. * If you decide "Hah, I'll get around that problem, I'll just turn of videos"... well, no. You have to block them show by show, and sometimes series by series. Per child. The videos will still get recommended to your child and then won't work. You can't outright block an entire category of content, like videos, apps or books. * No YouTube Kids-app. * The internal storage gets filled up super quickly. * The charging-port is not covered/protected in any way. * The separate child accounts also means that the apps, books and videos gets downloaded twice. You need an SD-card. As other people have posted, the UI-update with it's gazilion error-messages was not a hit either. But the main thing for us, was this: We exchanged the first one (blue) a month (in August) after it arrived. The reason was that our autistic son got angry at the tablet because of the error-messages he kept getting and he smacked it. Not only did the screen shatter, the display also broke. We got sent a refurbished one in it's place, quite quickly. This morning, the constant error-messages from the last update made him angry again. He was trying to play Angry Birds on the second one (yellow), and the error messages was not helpful to a child that cannot read. He smacked it, and immediatly became sad... Now the yellow one had spider web fractures and a broken display. When the replacement arrives, he will not be getting it, as it's not worth the frustration and to keep sending them back.
