Epic shredder

I went through years of shredding. This thing works as promised. It does overheat after about minutes of non-stop use. But it cools down quickly and even has a light to let you know. The shredder itself is heavy so be warned. It's easy to clean though and doesn't take up too much space. All in all, it's a beast and we'll with the money spent.

Switch starting to fail after 13 months. Update, switch has failed.

This shredder has been able to handle all of the documents I have fed it, even 12 pages at a time. I have never run it more than 10 minutes or so continuously, but it has never faltered. It does shut down as "full" when it is still about 75% of capacity but that is a minor hassle. Just yesterday, it started shutting down, no power, while running. I have had to start babying the power switch to keep it running. I always clean the cutting heads after a long run, and they are lubed regularly. I will have to wait and see if the power switch issue gets worse. 01/25/2024 Update: The shredder is still functioning just fine, but the power switch is failing. The "AUTO" setting on the switch has become full-time on. It will not shut off after paper has been shredded and the intake is clear. Another "minor" hassle. It is now fully manual but still usable. 12/13/2022 Update: This shredder no longer works on "Auto" setting. Power light turns green, then goes out. The shredder still works manually in forward and reverse, so it is not trashed yet, just inconvenient.
