Amazing Product!!! VERY IMPORTANT TIP!!!!
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2021
First let me say that this is an amazing product! I have NO regrets investing in the Ninja V, it has put my Sony A7iii on steroids. Not only that but my work flow is so much better. I'm usually a gorilla style type of shooter so if you know, it is very important to be in complete focus and to be able to know what's going on when you're running and gunning. I haven't even tapped into all of the features yet but am excited to do so! So now for the VERY IMPORTANT TIP. I found this out the hard way so hopefully this will help others to not make the same mistake I did. I usually shoot 4k on my A7iii with a Crane 2, the Ninja V outputs fine with no issues at all, but when I shot in HD for slow motion, there was a major problem! Now I'm not sure if this is the case for other cameras but if you're shooting with a A7iii this is for you (I would still check for other cameras as well). When shooting HD and recording on the Ninja V, the Ninja will actually record the cameras Screne Meters into the footage you are shooting! This caused me to lose all the footage I shot for the day, thank God I was backup camera. The FIX is this: go to Menu / Setup / HDMI Settings / HDMI Info Display and turn it OFF! I may be completely ignorant to this but I had no idea the Ninja V would have recorded the Screne Meters on HD only. Hope this helps someone!

Kind of an Expensive Device to Not Include Some Basic Necessities...
By Westminister on Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2021
The build quality of the Ninja V is very good. The functionality is what one would expect for most people. However, how does it not come with a sufficient HDMI cable to connect to a device. At least a compatible HDMI cable of at least a foot and a half, that supports 4K 60p 10bit. They know the vast mayor the users are using it for cameras. If a mini HDMI is needed, they could have included a second cable, or an adapter. It feels wrong, plus it is a hassle... The suggestion that a $30-60 cable needs to be purchased as well, just feels like gouging the customer. Unlike an iPhone, there are not billions of these being sold. This is a rather niche product. To insure proper function include the right cable. Also, a simple screen hood would have been nice too. It doesn’t need to be complicated, just functional. It feels a bit like selling a camera that has an EVF, but you have to purchase the eyecup separate, and no USB cable either... It feels like contempt for the customer. . .
