Replacement for Razer Naga from 2019
By Marie Tiglao on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2023
I grew up with the classic Razer Naga Molten and have had it ever since. But Razer no longer makes it so I had to make an adjustment. Moved to the Naga classic that basically has a button at the bottom of the scroll wheel that allows me to bind macros and other keybinds to it. Eventually it retired after 5long years. Couldn't find a replacement for it and trying a different brand (Corsair Simitar) but it wont even last 1 year before wheels break. Finally Razer came up with the modifiable Naga Trinity WITH BUTTONS on the wheel! Absolute smooth to use for sure! Though the software makes it hard to configure since it's a little confusing which one to use. But as always, that familiar feeling of having the mouse you've had for year be back in your hand again is amazing. Reliability is at par and loving how smooth it is without having to worry about the wheel breaking again.

New Naga is not what it used to be
By Old Movie Buff on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2023
My impetus for writing this review? Once again my Naga detachable side-panel mouse has failed me in a game. As often happens, the detachable side panel will stop working and I have to detach it and put it back on. Then it works again. This is frustrating me when I'm in a game and hitting "1" on the side panel and nothing is happening. I'm getting tired of this crap. This never happened with the older designs. They were reliable. I have been using Razer products for over a decade (remember the Nostromo keypad?). The first product I fell in love with was the Razer Naga. For a few years the Naga's quality increased. Since the 2016 model, the apex of Razer's designs, the quality of Razer products has declined. The Trinity is a sad excuse for a gaming mouse. Instead of focusing on one of Razer's most iconic products, they instead diluted the design by making it a "trinity" and including interchangeable side panels (I have never used the other side panels). This was a gross error in judgement by the razer design team. Since the Razer Trinity has come out, they have had the release of the, again, inferior Razer Naga X. They almost corrected their past error by going back to a wired mouse with a dedicated 12 button side-panel, but then decided to remove the left-right movement on the mouse wheel and one of the top-side buttons (just below the mouse wheel). So gamers went from enjoying a 19 programmable button mouse to a 16 button mouse. I can't use this new version. I use those missing "button." And it is obvious that they can still produce a 19 button Naga, since they offer a Left-Handed version of this on their website. Why they downgraded the Naga X to 16 buttons, I have no idea. What I do know is that they are losing me as a customer. If I didn't have an aversion to Logitech products, I would have been gone already. Razer, PLEASE get your act together and produce a wired, 19 programmable button Naga mouse with a dedicated side panel (no panel swapping!). Take your left-handed version and just make a right-handed version of it. Or break out the older 2016 design and re-make that with your newest components on the inside. PLEASE!
