Great tool for LE

Works great!Daily used tool. Battery life has lasted for 6+ months and continues to be good. Great size to put on the back of a laptop and or carry in a backpack. Standard color “green” but very visible. I have not been able to use the selective eraser function. The “erase all” button works fine. Entertaining for kids too.

Great LCD board, lacking in ability to work well with the app
By Chase on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2022
The Blackboard is a nice LCD writing tablet, and the Blackboard app works, however if your primary purpose is for saving your notes then other solutions may be more useful. I tried this board as a potential day-to-day replacement for Rocketbook notebooks and for faster notes where grabbing an entire notebook and erasable pens seems cumbersome. However the notes I want to save are always low quality because of the reflection of the LCD board. There is virtually no way to get a clean shot of the board without seeing a reflection of the camera in it as well. The only way we've found is literally engineering a whole room just for this purpose and that's obviously not practical (fully black backdrop with ample ambient "cool white" lighting in the room). So if you're okay seeing a reflection of your own hand and camera in every saved note via the app, then there's no issue. But also unlike the Rocketbook, the Blackboard app doesn't automatically determine the edges of the board, and you have to manually define them on each snapshot. Ultimately, the Rocketbook is much better for business, school, or organizational use. The Blackboard LCD board is better for casual notes that are intended to mostly be erased without being scanned. As for comments on other reviews, yes... the spot erase feature dims all your other text, sometimes temporarily sometimes permanently. And the spot erase feature also doesn't really work all that well and calibrating it seems to be needed at least once a day or on each full erasure (I'm not sure, but it doesn't get remembered for long). If you're looking for a magical LCD board solution because a Rocketbook seems like overkills, much less an iPad Pro or Surface Pro... just remember LCD boards can't really do much. All the other features (spot erase, scan to app) are really just gimmicks to make the board seem more advanced than it really is... and they produce less than professionally acceptable results.
