Surprisingly Decent
By Eugene Williams on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2025
I was looking for a simple, budget-friendly set of speakers to use with my desktop PC, and these Amazon Basics Stereo 2.0 speakers delivered exactly what I needed. Setup was a breeze—just plug them into the headphone jack and USB port, and you're good to go. No drivers or software required. The sound quality is surprisingly decent for such an inexpensive product. While you're not going to get deep bass or audiophile-level clarity, the audio is crisp and clear for everyday use like watching videos, listening to music, or casual gaming. Volume levels are more than sufficient for a small to medium-sized room. The build quality feels solid for the price, and the compact size makes them perfect for a clutter-free desk setup. I also appreciate the simple volume knob on the front—it’s easy to access and smooth to adjust. Pros: Affordable Easy to set up Compact and lightweight Clear audio for basic use Cons: Lacks deep bass Not ideal for high-end audio needs Overall, these are excellent budget speakers that do exactly what they promise. If you need a no-fuss audio solution for your PC or laptop, this is a great option.

No OFF Button...Just OK Speakers
By Evolution on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025
First, there is no OFF button! There is a device attached to the adapter to turn the volume up and down but no OFF button...To turn the device off, the instructions say to unplug the USB cable from the computer. It's in the back of my computer! Why would you make a volume button which is simple to control in windows but provide no button to turn the speakers off completely?? The sound is just OK. These are temporary for about 3 months while I'm working way from home, but will return to my nice 5.1 surround sound...but still, I'm already thinking of returning them for better quality stereo speakers that also have an OFF button... $15, and in this case, you get what you pay for...
