Dell Precision 7510 15.6" Laptop (16GB/512GB)

Strongly consider the extended warranty when buying from this seller. I bought this laptop from the Amazon Renewed Store that was refurbished and sold by PrimeTimeBuys. Due to regular life interruptions the PC remained in the shipping box for the majority of the 90-day warranty. After about 2 months of very light usage the battery died, and I mean "no warning" died. Since I was now out of the warranty period I just clinched my teeth and bought another battery from Amazon (~$50+$4.40 tx). Regardless, the original battery did not have an 80% guaranteed capacity. Upon replacing the battery I found another workmanship issue: There are 4 screws that secure the hard drive to the board/chassis. Two of the screws are located under the battery and one of those screws was missing and the other had threads had been stripped and rendered useless. Fortunately I've not had any issue with the hard drive (fingers crossed, knock on wood). Another quality issue I discovered recently (rarely used) is the SD card reader doesn't work Clearly this machine was not tested as stated in the listing, or it failed testing and shipped anyway. On a lighter note, the cosmetics of the PC is good. A thin film is applied to the cover and below the keyboard and has a nice feel. The film on the cover/top of the PC was not properly centered and was starting to peel along one edge, so I took and razor blade and trimmed that edge with ease to prevent it from peeling further; no longer an issue. If you are considering buying from PrimeTimeBuys my recommendation is to add in the cost of the extended warranty, or buy from another supplier to the Amazon Renewed Store. Dell makes a good machine and mine was sold with Win 10 Pro. Update: and the headphone jack doesn't work. I'd like to now rate "0" stars but that doesn't appear to be an option Update 3/25/2022: And there is NO WEBCAM. (not a big deal for me as it's rarely used, but the machine is advertised as having a webcam)
