Great little investment

This is my first time buying a refurbished item, at least if this type of an item. I was nervous about what condition it would be in as well as the set up going by some of these reviews. I'm a bit tech savvy so that may be what made this easy for me. This arrived in excellent condition. While it was not in the original box, I believe that I got everything that would normally come with it. The ink cartridges were new and I had the right cords. The set up was incredibly easy. It automatically looked for my wifi connection and was easy to enter, though it's a small keyboard on the screen it was usable. I set everything up through my phone. I suggest getting the HP app, makes printing, scanning and anything else so much easier. I wasn't able to connect to the web services, and not sure I need it. I ran everything through my phone and the app. The quiet mode is worthy of the name, I can't hear it print and I'm only 8-10 feet away. I was looking into some of the ink tank models, but I don't print enough for it to pay off. Overall, I'm very happy about this purchase. It prints beautiful, everything of lined up.

Waste of time and Money

I bought this printer to be able to handle all my scans, faxes n Remote work in at least 20-35 pages or less. I barely use it but when I do everything worked fine. It connected to all my devices and was easy to use. Print quality was as well as to be expected but it's better to use the extra large cartridges over normal in order to get a decent number of pages. However, the drivers have given issues several times causing an Uninstaller reinstall to fix the issue. Now I believed another driver issue with print cartridges. It said unable to communicate with cartridges error. Won't print or anything. I followed all troubleshooting only to find its a known Hardware issue. They told me I had to rebuild or upgrade the printer. I already gave a review but it didn't post. I'm glad because my experience wasn't complete. In all fairness I bought the Asurion 3 year service agreement to which I highly recommend on all electronic or important purchases made through Amazon. They do not have a replacement for this printer. The Customer Service and Asurion were excellent 5* for handling my needs and finding a solution. HP on the other hand having a known hardware problem on a high level should have done a recall out of respect or to save money. Sent a letter to every registered owner of the printer informing them of the issue and offering a replacement upon said hardware failure in the future: if it happened. It may never happen so no need for recall. Poor Handling there for a known issue. Everything was good about the printer itself minus a few issues but I doubt I ever buy an envelope series again with so many complaints. Thank you Amazon for making the fix very easy with Protection plan from Asurion whom also created an excellent experience from a bad one!
