"I am very good, but I could be better."
By Alexander Lopez on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2023
"My official rating is 4.8/5.0. This is my opinion on the Razer Nari Ultimate. To start, and most importantly, they are quite good and of excellent quality, and I highly recommend them – 100%. They are very enjoyable. Let's begin with the positive aspects of the product. The first point is that it's a very comprehensive package; it comes with everything, including cables and guides for use. The audio is another positive aspect. It's very pleasant and incredibly immersive when gaming or watching movies, especially within video games and, notably, horror games. You can feel the presence of something chasing you or breathing down your neck. The second point is comfort. They are quite comfortable to wear; I don't feel any extra weight, and they don't pull my hair. I also don't struggle to adjust them to fit my head perfectly. The third point is Bluetooth. It's the first time I've used headsets like this, and they've given me a lot of confidence, even though I tend to be quite skeptical about anything Bluetooth. As I mentioned before, I highly recommend them, and if you want quality, these are the best, and it's worth buying them. Now, let's discuss the negative points that I feel are somewhat unnecessary, but it's important to mention the downsides as well. The first negative point is the battery and its charging system. I combine these because they are related. The headphones should have a bit more battery life; I feel that 4 hours is too short if I want to do something other than gaming, such as watching movies or listening to music. However, I believe this is due to their own power for vibrations and everything. Another issue is the cable—not that it doesn't have a USB-C cable, but the problem is that if you use it for 4 hours, it gets discharged, and you have to connect it to another electronic device. It's not very clear whether you can use a phone charger or if it's mandatory to use a computer, gaming console, etc. I would have liked to know if I could connect it directly to a charger, and I don't do it because in a power change, it could damage the battery. So, I better follow the recommendations in the manual. The third negative point, which I see more as a potential future issue, is the unnecessary wheel for adjusting the game or chat volume. I think they could have left it with buttons or something different because I feel that with its current design, it may wear out in the future, and finding a central point might become challenging due to wear and tear. As mentioned before, they could have left it more like a system with volume buttons, maybe with 3 or 5 levels for game and chat audio. I feel that there might come a point where I won't know how to adjust that wheel to the central point. To conclude, the microphone has a peculiar issue. It seems to capture a lot of game audio, or more precisely, it picks up the voices of people around me, causing considerable echoing. The microphone itself is not bad; it's quite good and compact, but the problem is the excessive bouncing of audio, at least in shooter games."

Really wanted to like this headset....
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2022
I purchased this headset to replace an old Turtle Beach that broke after years of use. So let's get to the headset. There are some things about this headset that sets it totally apart from others. The style, comfort of the ear cups, sound, base and by far the haptic feedback. The headset is also capable of increasing and decreasing the intensity of the haptic feedback which I thought was great. The controls once you learn where they were, did not take long to get to and adjust. The red light as the end of the mic illuminated when you hit the mute button which was a nice touch. I did my research before purchasing this headset and specifically ordered the one that was for the XBOX as the other one is not compatible. Others have said it is, and that is correct with an adapter for the 3.5 cable. This defeats the purpose of having a wireless headset. The non XBOX model also lacked being able to adjust the haptic feedback directly on the headset. So after purchasing and setting things up I was blown away at the comfort and the overall feel of the headset. Tension holds the headset on so there is not an actual way to select the positioning. This isnt bad but not sure how well this would hold up over time. Chat/Mic with game play for XBOX was horrible, at times you could hear other players and then you could not. Adjusting the chat/game mix was hit or miss as there was no middle marker on the dial to know where the 50/50 balance was. The mic, while I like the design was the worst. Players reacted that my voice was extremely low. In order to even see that the mic was picking up anything you practically had to either have the mic in your mouth and yelling at the same time. I ran into an issue where the mic monitoring was set to its lowest setting in the XBOX menu. I plugged in my old headset to the controller while the Nari was on and those settings highlighted and I was able to adjust the setting. This in no way affects the Nari nor does it help the mic. Not wanting to give up on this headset I called Razer Support and I was Ultimately disappointed and that phone interaction forced me to cut my loss and return the headset. When I called support this is after I had combed community discussion boards, reviews, comments, and everything that I could find on Razers community boards and support page for the headset. After reviewing all of those resources I spoke with support, the gentleman asked if I could try another XBOX, no I only have 1 XBOX. Next question was to confirm that it was paired with the XBOX, which was yes. The gentleman then placed me on hold for 2 minutes then advised that I had a defective unit and I needed to return it. Additionally I downloaded the Razer software to my XBOX, the software never recognized the headset even though it was connected to the console. I really wanted to like this headset for the features that is boasts. It seems that any support for this headset stopped or never existed once this was released. How can a $200 headset not have a functioning mic, software, working app on the console, and lack of troubleshooting to get it to work as advertised. Not sure how this worked on PC as that was not my intended purpose for the headset. I think that had there been continued investment from Razer to support the XBOX, the app, and technical support this could have been a game changer. I opted for a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2, out of the box it worked sound was on point as they are known for, the only thing missing is the haptic feedback. If you are buying this specifically for the XBOX and you have the version that is labeled specifically for XBOX dont buy it. It will not work, this headset has no 3.5 mm jack, so it only connects wireless. This headset had so much potential but fell short on key aspects that cannot be overlooked when gaming and playing FPS. I will say as mentioned in other reviews, if you are playing solo games with no need for chat/mic this is great. Razer dropped the ball on this one.
