Very Nice Mouse

My old mouse was sometimes reporting right clicks when I clicked the left button, so using that mouse became increasingly frustrating. I took a chance on this mouse, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. I simply plugged it into a USB port on my computer, and the computer immediately recognized it.

Good no-frills mouse, but wears out quickly

This is a fine no-frills basic mouse with a comfortable shape. However, the microswitches begin to fail after about 24-26 months of daily business use. The mouse generates extra click events, sometimes causing it to double-click and sometimes causing it to left and right click at the same time. Logitech's warranty system seems to be designed to push you into their chat support, which doesn't work that well, and ends up costing more effort than the mouse is worth. The mouse isn't expensive, so it is possible to treat this mouse as a consumable item. I've gone through two so far and am now on my third. If two years is shorter than your replacement cycle for mice, look elsewhere; if two years is an acceptable replacement cycle for a sub-$10 item, this is good choice.
