Really good buy for the money.

I bought this laptop about a year ago, but I wanted to make sure to break it in so that I knew it wasn’t going to run great for 6 months then die. I can honestly say that I love this computer! I use it mostly for gaming and I do a lot of VR. Both run really well with not lagging. I bought it refurbished and I did have an issue where the battery stopped charging shortly after I bought it, but reporting any issues to hp support was really simple. The guy on the chat walked my through some troubleshooting, called me back when we were cut off from the chat and, when that didn’t work, I was told I’d have to mail it in. My heart dropped because I’d heard a few horror stories about waiting forever for repairs. But I sent it in on a Friday and I got it back the next Monday. So really fast turnaround! The good: Customer Support was very easy to use. Overall specs are great for gaming. The 1070 is amazing, plenty of ram, and a good i7 processor. If you do VR, it has the USB-C plug, so no adapters needed. Built in apps that make it extremely easy to keep all drivers up to date. Nice Omen monitoring tools for cpu, memory, and heat. Programmable buttons come in handy and are easy to set up. The bad: 1080p screen... doesn’t bother me, but I know that’s a deal breaker for some. I did have an issue with the battery. CS was great, but it was still a minor inconvenience to note. The fan is LOUD! I think this is true with most gaming laptops, but it took me by surprise at first. Overall, I’d recommend it. I’ve been a hater of HP in the past, so I’m pleasantly surprised with how much I like this laptop.

El laptop vino con problemas se congela la imagen frecuentemente, y algunas veces cuando lo enciendo el entra a Windows pero la pantalla queda totalmente negra, me toca apagarlo y volverlo a encender y esto también sucede con frecuencia, contacte el proveedor y me dice q debo llamar a HEwlett pactar. El problema es q estoy en colombia , entre a la página de Hewlett-Packard y al escribir el serial del equipo me dice q está fuera de garantia desde el mes de enero y yo lo compré en octubre. Me siento estafado!
