Dell Precision 5530 15.6" FHD Laptop

My wife and I bought this to replace an old laptop. We were skeptical about buying a refurbished laptop but we took the chance based on the return policy and we hit the jackpot (I guess, so far no issues). The perofrmance is great and the battery life is even better. The screen is big and has narrow bezzels which make it feel even bigger. The only odd thing is the camera placement, which is at the bottom of the screen instead at the top, so when you are in a video conference is like you are always looking "above the sceen", but it's because you are looking at the screen, but the camera is capturing your face from a lower angle. No sure what Dell engeneers where thinking when designing this, or was just a compromise (or after thoguht?) between narrow bezzels or good camera placement. Other than that, the camera quality is good. One other odd thing is that we could connect an old monitor via HDMI interface, even though the HDMI cable was working and I the monitor works with other 2 laptops we have at home. Even with updating the video card drivers we couldn't make it work. This could be a deal breaker for some people, but we just switched monitors to one other that works. Overall very happy with the purchase and a big step above from our older laptop.
