Great for gaming and productivity/Work from home
By Nick Varade on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2023
I use this monitor 80% for work and 20% for gaming and it fits both roles perfectly. Despite being a refurb there is nothing wrong with the monitor, this refurb monitor came straight from Samsung and had the plastic wrap on the monitor bezel and feet, so clearly this was inspected and refurbed properly. First of its HEAVY, so if you are mounting this on a vesa arm mount, make sure it can handle heavy monitors up to 30 lbs ( usually only the gas spring ones can handle that weight properly). The size is amazing! I can easily have multiple windows together without sacrificing window space and size for the applications. I use a PowerToys Fancy Zones on Windows 10 that enables me to properly space out windows. For gaming it's even better, now these days 99% of games support 21:9 aspect ratio, the widescreen makes it immersive and it being so large you do really get immersed into the game. The size is perfect also, I looked into other 45" monitors but they are so tall you have to really shift your head up and down which is not very ergonomic. The 21:9 aspect ratio is perfect at eye level. The curve of the monitor is not too aggressive so its not bad at all for both gaming and productivity. PIP is a nice plus, I have my PS5 hooked up to it and I can easily game on a proper 27" 16:9 aspect ratio with plenty of screen space left for the computer. So on slow days I can game and work at the same time. Plus once you get PIP going it remembers the layout of the monitors (if you have more than one) so you don't have to fiddle around in the display settings all the time. One thing to make sure before setting this monitor up is to plug in all the inputs before hand because accessing the back of the monitor from the side is super difficult just due to the massive size. Overall I would take the refurb option if available you are getting a product for a lot cheaper than the new one. There is a 144hz version that is very expensive but I found that 120hz is more than enough for gaming. Only issue is that when my computer falls asleep sometimes the monitor does not wake up and I have to turn it off and on, a minor inconvenience for the price of the monitor.

Broken monitor
By Visard on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2021
Received item not working. Wouldn’t turn on. Something inside it was loose. I have attached a video where you can hear noise inside the monitor. I called amazon and they got in contact with the 3rd party seller and they approved my return. The person I spoke to said I wouldn’t have to pay nothing. I sent the item back and once the seller received it I got an email saying I won’t be able to get my full refund. They deducted $209.41 from my refund for a restocking fee.
