Great little keyboard. Well made with great feel.

Love this keyboard. I really like the clicky feel of the red keys. I type a lot and like a good mechanical keyboard. I have a small writing station and went with the 60 as it fits well in the space. I’m not actually using this for gaming. The ability to change the backlighting is great. Changing keycaps is easy. If you’re used to a full size keyboard, it takes a little time to get used to the 60% and it may affect your typing speed until you adjust. But overall, this keyboard leaves me wanting nothing. Build quality is great! It’s actually quite a heavy keyboard for its size. Feels very substantial. It’s satisfying all around. In fact, I just bought a second one to use with another machine in the other room.

Beautiful keyboard, but some program cons
By Asher Santiago on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2021
**EDIT 08/01/2021** After having the keyboard for a full day I have a lot of complaints about the software. When waking my computer from sleep mode, it wouldn't respond to any keystrokes. This made me have to unplug and then replug it back in. I also was having complications with the NGENUITY app crashing my games. It was incredibly frustrating because I didn't know that the cause of it, but obviously I had recently downloaded and got the new keyboard that I guessed it was the culprit. After uninstalling the app, the Microsoft store wouldn't let me redownload it and install it. I had to wipe the Microsoft store's cache multiple times before it would take. Once I redownloaded it, thinking it had a corrupted file, the same thing happened. It dramatically reduced my FPS and caused screen tearing. It also didn't keep the color settings that I set at times. After doing hours of research, I found a solution from someone on Reddit a year ago. You need to save the color setting and key bind to the keyboard itself (you can do this through the app) and exit it entirely. This immediately fixed my games crashing, the keyboard response issue, and the colors not showing up after saving them through the app. It's a shame because this keyboard is AWESOME, just the software is probably the worst I've encountered yet. Unfortunately, it lowered my rating from 4 stars to 3. Even with the software issues, I would still recommend this keyboard to anyone who was interested in purchasing it. Just be wary of the app. -- 07/30/2021 So, I've only had this keyboard for less than a day and I can say without a doubt that I absolutely love it. My previous keyboard was a HyperX with a membrane and I was looking to upgrading to a switch keyboard. I did a lot of research on the HyperX switches between the red (linear), aqua (tactile), and blue (clicky) - I really liked the feeling of the cherry MX brown switches and I can say without a doubt that the aqua switches feel almost identical. The keyboard is also compatible with cherry MX keycaps which a plus if you like customizing your keycaps. It's stiff enough that if you rest your fingers on the keyboard as you type that it doesn't register, but it doesn't take much pressure for it to be responsive. It's a very comfortable keyboard for gaming and typing if you text chat while playing games. The body is metal which is very nice and sturdy compared to a lot of fully plastic keyboards. It makes it feel 10x's more luxury than other keyboards in the same price range. The USB-C slot for the removable cord is to the right of the keyboard for those who are curious and like to get coiled keyboard cables. Now, when it comes to the HyperX NGENUITY app it's a little bit of a different story. First, you have to get the program on the Microsoft store (weird, but ok.) Second, I have HyperX Fury ram and it's supposed to be customizable through NGENUITY and it doesn't recognize it at all. Third, The preview of the color layout on the edit panel for the keyboard is flickering and it's quite annoying but, it hasn't interfered with the operability of the keyboard (yet.) I do like that the customization is robust with different targeted effects and your standard cycling effects. You can also layer different effects with one another for a unique color experience. Overall, if you're thinking about getting this keyboard, I would highly recommend it. If my opinion changes, I'll update my review but hopefully it'll continue to be a great keyboard.
