Garbage Card

Hello! If you get easily offended over things that don't control your life please move on. I got this card in July of 2020. At first I thought this was an amazing deal. Little did I know the troubles I would go through. This card has caused nothing but issues with my computer. Can't play any games cause it constantly crashes. Temps are extremely high, so high in fact it starts thermal throttling. Everyone I've spoken to has said my card might be DOE, but I've done all the testing to prove it is not DOE. On top of that I've tried all the mechanical fixes in the book. I've added plastic spacers to fix the contact issue between the main chip and the heat sync. I've added longer screws with stronger threading so I can apply more pressure. I've changed out the thermal paste. Nothing fixes this card. I always believed ASUS was the best brand. I love the ROG Strix series. All my hardware is ASUS ROG Strix after all, but when they say first impressions are everything they aren't kidding. I'm not sure I'll ever buy ASUS again.

Amazing card!

This card is great! I recently upgraded from my gtx 1060 to the 5700xt and was not disappointed, the GPU made a massive difference in my games. I went for the Asus Strix because of the clean style of the Strix model and the cooling. Drivers are not hard to install and I have not had any problems with it from when I bought a couple of months ago. The aura sync and Asus GPU tweak software is great and easy to understand, for only $450 it was a steal! Pros: -3 fans for cooling (under full load, doesn't go above 80*) -aura sync is easy and nice-looking -Gpu has great overall performance -Build quality is the best I've seen (Its quite heavy) Cons: -The only real con is how gigantic this card is which you can expect from Asus. I personally don't mind but make sure this thing will fit in your case, and you might want to add in a GPU support bracket too just to prevent GPU sag.
