The best feel under hands, great successor to the K800

I currently have two PC setups on my desk. Right now I am WFH for about a month, I took home my PC tower, the mouse, and keyboard. The keyboard is a Logitech K270 and the mouse is a M185 - the IT department purchases these two peripherals as a combo and issues them to all of us at the workplace. For years I go to work, use the keyboard and mouse without issue, and come home and use my personal devices - and don't think much of it. However, having both of them running simultaneously, I seriously can't get over just how much better the Logitech MX Keys is. Every time I have to switch over to my work K270 I just wish I had another Logitech MX Keys. It's such a contrast, that I'm thinking of purchasing another one for my work computer, and just taking it back to the office with me when my WFH stint is over. The MX keys has a very nice low profile design, and the keys can be struck quickly. I can type so much more quickly on this keyboard. The overall budget nature and just the design of the tall keys with budget switches just doesn't lend itself to quick typing. With the MX keys your fingers just flow from press to press and you don't have to wonder if the keystroke is going to register or not. The only reason I got the MX Keys, is I was using a very legendary, but very legacy Logitech K800. That was my favorite keyboard (until the MX keys). It was getting dirty over the years, so I decided I would take it apart and clean it. All was going well until I tried to re-assemble it. Somehow I had broken the little retaining clips on about 25% of the keys when I removed them. (Note to all you K800 owners, be very careful if you try to refresh this keyboard, I thought I could do it willy-nilly but there is definitely a trick to removing the key-caps.) I did purchase a second one of these to use with my living room gaming PC. (So yeah, I might purchase a third for work. It is just that good.)

Great keyboard except for my wi-fi storm issue
By Brett39 on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2025
I've had this keyboard for almost three years and use it with an MX mouse on a single USB receiver. It's everything I wanted in a keyboard-mouse pair: single USB, long battery life, backlit keys, nice look and feel. However, I seem to have one of the defective units (if there is such a thing). I have what a few other owners have reported - every now and then there's a connectivity issue over the wi-fi. I believe this is due to a transmission storm from the keyboard; I notice it mainly when my mouse becomes non-responsive. This lasts for a few seconds and then my mouse cursor begins to track again. I know it's the keyboard because when this starts, I can turn off the keyboard power, and the mouse function immediately returns. I don't know what causes this keyboard behavior - it could be a defective unit or its interaction with my wi-fi router on my desk, but I have learned to live with it. I do recommend the product and would probably purchase another - as I said, it has everything that I want. But if you experience this connectivity issue, you should return the product within your return window and request a replacement. I waited too long but it's not enough of a nuisance to purchase a replacement keyboard.
