Great Monitor for 3+ Years
By Brandy Levy-Dodt on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2025
I've had this monitor for around 3 years now and now I feel like writing this review, it still works great, color quality is good, no flickering at all, no dead pixels, everything has been good with this monitor

Good choice if you hate having $300
By A guy living somewhere on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2021
Update: This monitor already has dead pixels. I bought this roughly 3 months ago and it is already being replaced by a different brand. Stay very far away. At the price I got it for this monitor does a good job, but there are a few serious gripes I have with it and I think there are better competitors in this price range. 1) BIGGEST complaint is that this stand is absolutely god awful. It is not adjustable and is not very secure. This would be negated by a mounted setup but the stand itself is not very stable and you had better pray that it rests exactly as you need it to. 2) Some screen flickering with FreeSync on, though this is a common issue across the board. Very noticeable if playing in a darker room. I opted to turn FreeSync off for that exact reason. 3) there’s some serious delay between using the button to open/change settings and when this takes effect. 4) last complaint is that the standby LED cannot be turned completely off. It is VERY bright (as in, it illuminates my entire room) and I have to put something over the light at night to sleep. Before you call me stupid, if there is an option to turn it off I cannot find it. The only option is to have the LED on always or during standby mode only. The colors are nice, but could be better. The curve is nice. Refresh rate of 144 is nice. But at the price point this is at, you can do much better with ASUS or another competitor. I don’t dislike this monitor enough to return it but I was disappointed in the quality since it’s a Samsung and would not purchase this again Update: after a few months of really using this monitor my review is still about the same. In hindsight I really wish I had paid to step up to the G7. Ad others have mentioned, despite claiming 1ms of refresh time, thus monitor ghosts REALLY badly, even when the response settings are turned to the max. While better than my last monitor, the idea that this monitor sits at such a high price point from a reputable manufacturer with such glaring defects is disappointing. End result: seek out other options at this price point or consider the price bump to the G7 review. I am by no means a big techie when it comes to display peripherals but even from an amateur viewpoint this monitor underdelivers on its promises.
