Mouse seems good, line in the lights

It looks like there is a lose wire or piece of plastic under the opaque part that lights up. It is very noticeable and distracting. Mouse seems to work great. Can't figure out how to get it to work wired. I have to turn on Bluetooth and connect it that way while wired. It is connected to a lenovo laptop via a thinkpad dock.
