Great alone and better with mods
By Dante on Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2025
Software I’m a big fan of the angle tuneability feature because I tend to hold mouse at an angle which makes it harder to move my cursor or crosshair in straight lines. Other than that really unique option the software has the rest of the generic settings such as DPI, Keybinds, Macro’s, and RGB settings. Only thing I wish it had was the different profiles for different games that auto switch when opening said game, Logitech and Razer mice both have this feature in their software. Mouse Shape Day one when I got the mouse it felt super comfy and super light, I had a feeling it would be that way because I bought the mouse thinking it looked like it would suit my mouse grip great. (Elevated, Angled, Hybrid Palm, Relaxed Fingertip, Wheel Tips, Separated) That’s my mouse grip with a normal mouse fully described. The reason I bought this mouse to begin with was because my pinky was always dragging on the mousepad as normal mice didn’t give me enough room on the side with the way I like to hold my mouse. This was resolved by giving a place for my ring finger to comfortably sit away from my pinky. Note: It takes a little getting use to the ring finger rest, I found myself randomly trying to click with my ring finger for some reason. Mods The grip tape that came with the mouse was junk and felt almost waxy to the touch. As well as it didn’t have any tape for the ring finger rest. The only grip tape I found for this mouse was from a brand called TrueGrip located in France. The shipping takes a while so be prepared to wait but it’s worth it when you get it. Much better than the tape from Cooler Master. As for the mouse feet the stock ones are alright but I replaced them with Corepad Skatez which I got off lethal.gg. The mouse glides across my mousepad like its on ice which the lightweight nature of the mouse definitely helps with. Second to last the optical switches which I replaced with some Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro optical switches. (You can get these on Amazon) This was a relatively simple mod to do because they just pop in and out without the need of soldering. You just gotta open the mouse up by taking out some screws. Now the clicks sound and feel more tactile. Last of all I recommend getting a mouse bungee as this mouse is wired. The cable that comes with the mouse is pretty good as is and doesn't tend to get in the way too badly but I am a low sensitivity user. There's many different bungees out there and they should all work well at keeping the cable out of the way giving you a near wireless experience.

The New Comfort/Speed King. (with some issues...)
By SpecterAgent on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021
Not going to blather on about specs and all that nonsense, just gonna say... This mouse is amazing. (at first..) I have been on a mice collecting spree for awhile now and I just snagged this sucker up even though I told myself I was done buying wired mice. The praise for its shape was just too good to pass up and I figured it was different enough to justify adding it to my collection. Lemme' tell ya' this thing is as comfortable as has been said by many reviewers. -The light weight makes it so snappy, yet the grip allows for so much control. - I would also like to point out the stock cord that comes with it is great. It is basically like having a shoestring on the mouse and it is very unnoticeable (Very nice to see as a standard cable, more mouse-makers need to take note) -The clicks are all snappy and responsive, with nice comfort groves for your fingers to rest. They are a little weak sounding but we want function over sound and that's what you get here. My only major complaint (aside from there not being a wireless version) is the side buttons are a little small. Not as bad as the Razer Viper Ultimate and they do protrude a bit more, but they could have been better. (Check out the side buttons on the Roccat Burst COOLER MASTER. Those are proper side buttons!) Anyways... If the shape interests you, don't hesitate, treat your hands to this wonderful mouse it is worthy of being your go-to fragging tool. Edit: After using this mouse for only a few weeks the M1+2 clicks develop a noticeable squeak/creak due to the weak plastic used for the switch covers which also have a lot of flex. There is no wobble or Post-pretravel and the clicks are still responsive, but the material is without a doubt very weak/cheap. I ended up getting myself a Hyper X Pulsefire Haste which is also a Lightweight-Honeycomb design, it weighs 59g (10 more than this, still lightweight enough) and costing only $50 as well and I gotta say... The Pulsefire Haste destroys the MM720 when it comes to build/material quality for the pricepoint. The M1+2 clicks are so much more satisfying and actually made strong with 0 flex. HyperX did not cheap out on the clicks like CoolerMaster did. Now this may seem like I'm trying to sell you on a Hyper X Pulsefire Haste instead of the MM720, but I'm not... (Though you should try out the Haste, Best $50 out of the box mouse on the market... Just sayin') ....because the CoolerMasterMM720 is a very unique mouse shape and I love it and am sure you will too if you are interested in the shape, but I definitely feel Cooler Master could take a page out of HyperX's playbook when it comes to actually building a proper endgame mouse that does not sacrifice in build quality just to be lightweight. I very much hope CoolerMaster will make a V2 of the MM720 that sees refinements to the overall build. Until then, this mouse is not actually meeting its full potential and it is a shame because the shape is truly great. Seriously, CoolerMaster if you ever read this. The MM720 could easily be the perfect endgame mouse for many if you guys would dump some major love into it. I'm talking Final Mouse 'Mouse of the Gods' level of love. -Make it wireless -Same weight range 47-55g -Magnesium Alloy structure I would gladly pay $150-$200 for this mouse.
