Easy to Setup and Use
By Meghan on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2025
The unit works well and was very easy to set up minus a little issue I ran into with my provider that was easily cleared up. The app was easy to download and use. The connection is decent but that's not the router's issue, just live in a rural area and don't have very many options for ISPs. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend this seller and their refurbished electronics

False advertising
By Robert Robeson on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2024
TLDR: Old router is half the spec of the new one. Old router works better. I bought this router because it claims 3000 square feet of coverage. It was going to replace a Linksys EA7300 (advertised as 1500 sq ft coverage) which was many years old and had started dropping wifi intermittently and needed to be restarted about twice a week. Immediately I noticed that I could not get wifi in the garage. I'm no tech genius so I got in touch with Linksys tech support and we opened up all the advanced settings, made sure the router was offering 2.4 and 5 ghz bands separately, I downloaded an app that could read actual signal strength in decibels, we went through every channel individually, and the best results I was able to get with the help of tech support was signal strength that was only 1 to 5 db WORSE than the old router. We tested both routers back to back with my phone in a specific spot in the garage and me standing in a specific spot next to it. I'm sorry, but a product that claims double the capability of the obsolete product shouldn't be worse. That's called lying. I'm not returning it because I used the new router's power brick for all this testing and it seems to have fixed the reliability issue the old router was having and I can have the new one as an almost as good temporary replacement in case the old router gets struck by lightning or something. To those who might say I misunderstood the advertising claims and the 3k sqft coverage is only available with the mesh nodes, "then why is it available for purchase without them?" The answer is "bait and switch." Unfortunately this has become standard practice lately and I'm not here for it.
