Keychron K10 - I love it!
By David L. on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2022
I own many keyboards, most of them cannot be modified. The K10 is my first customizable keyboard. Out of the box, it sounds pretty good. There are a few areas that need some work, in my opinion. The sound of some of the keys is a bit rattly. The arrow keys are very loud compared to the rest of the keys. I have installed new switches, I've tried both linear and tactile, while each of those has a different feel, the sound got a bit higher-pitched rather than lower-pitched, the latter is what I'm aiming to get. A nice, low tone throughout the keyboard. I've ordered some stuff to modify this keyboard. Some foam to place in the lower part of the case, some switch pads and films, some painter's tape, some dielectric grease for the new stabilizers, and I think that is about it. I will see how those mods do in this keyboard. I use Apple computers. There aren't too many keyboard options that come with all of the Mac buttons. Keychron seems to be one of the only manufacturers that provide all of these keys on a stock keyboard. I thought that was awesome. I only wish they sold more keycaps sets for these keyboards. Also, the support on the Keychron website for the K10 is virtually non-existant. There isn't much available for the K10. Not much support, not much for accessories such as keycaps. As I learn about this hobby, I'm not sure if I would buy the K10 again. If I can get the desired sound out of this keyboard, than I would absolutely buy another one. Or possibly a different model.

Nice quality keyboard, only a few quirks
By Nick on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2024
Overall the keyboard feels & sounds great. The keys are a nice material and the backlight is adequate (could be slightly more bright). There are a few quirks with software regarding the wireless function, and it occasionally feels like the keyboard gets laggy and keypresses take a bit of time to actualize. Plus by default it turns off fairly quickly if there is some time it doesn't get used. I've had keys randomly stick (not physically) a few times, although I've updated the firmware and it seems like that may have been fixed. As for my negatives - this keyboard is extremely tall, and you really need to use a wrist rest in order to get into any decent position for typing. The absolute WORST design choice by far is the location of the USB connection -- someone decided to put it directly in the position you'd rest your hand on the left side of the keyboard, which is where my hand is 98% of the time when using CAD (for hitting the Escape key).
