Good range coverage with satellite. It’s just what I need for my house.
By Texas RGV on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2022
I couldn’t be more happy. This is what my high electrical outlet was made for. The satellite is way above everything and with my router also up in the upper closet’s shelf the wi-fi signal goes uninterrupted. I love the looks of it, you can adjust the brightness on both, that blue light is just beautiful. My house is 1,870 sqft so the main router can easily cover the whole house and garage with up to 490mbps with Spectrum Ultra Internet 400. The reason for the satellite is for the front outside of my house. I listen to talk radio when I’m working my yard and without the extender I lose signal on both sides of the house corners. The addition of the satellite gets me all the way to the sidewalk across my street and able to get up to 100mbps. The transition from the router to satellite is FLAWLESS. I never notice any loss of signals so it’s as reliable as any other mesh routers. I tried several mesh routers, Asus XT8, Orbi RBK752, TP-Link X68, Asus RT-AX92U, eero Pro 6. All excellent mesh routers, but the idea of having a satellite up high on the wall was the one thing Arris W122 beat them all. Eero offers a $18 wall mount but although it doesn’t look that bad…is not as nice looking as the W122. Erro Pro 6 was the best to install out of the box. I mean…the REAL plug and play of them all, but Arlo W122 was not hard at all. Orbi is by far the worst first time to install. I’m very pleased with the Arris W122 and highly recommended.

Pathetic Setup Process
By NotSurfing on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2025
I am not a tech stupid person. I’m not an actual IT guy, but I’ve installed multiple tech devices at home and at work. Arris continues to be the most frustrating app/support in my time dealing with tech. While the “wifi extender” that has to be by your modem doesn’t take much issue with setting up, the actual extender never connects. I’ve tried close to the modem/router, I’ve tried in the location that I’d like it to. I have an Arris modem and router. This should be an easy conversion, however adding this is nowhere near the “easy” installation that it claims. If I ever could use the product, I’m sure it might be fine.
