Acer Spin 3 Intel Evo Convertible Laptop

I was floored when I actually had my hands on this device. It has everything one could want for adaptation to different media. There are USB c and regular ports, video input for presentations, and an HDMI port. Loved the backlit keyboard and touch screen. However, the main reason I ordered this for the "up to 15 hours of battery life" which is so far from the truth it is not funny. I worked for 3.5 hours developing a PowerPoint presentation with just text (no photos or video), checking email, on social media and it drained all but 17% of battery life. After a 100% charge, it was 4 hours (again...no streaming) before the battery low warning came on. I recommend keeping a spare power source charged and ready if you are not able to work while connected to a power source.Edited to add that after about 20 hours of use, the system not only started using battery completely after an hour of use, but it stopped charging when connected to power source. Returned for repair and got unit back with new battery. Still would not accept charge and battery drained fully even with unit off. USB-C ports not functioning. New power supply received. Battery charged and system worked well for 1 day before battery again drained and would not charge.Edited to add that after three months of dealing with tech support and sending the system back to Temple, TX for repair (3 new batteries, 1 mainboard replacement, three power supply replacements), they are finally sending me another unit. I have now been without my device from Mid February to the end of April.
