Samsung 24" Odyssey G30A Gaming Monitor

Pros - The picture quality is great for 1080p that is the good part of the review. Cons - 1. When I have a black background with white text the black completely engulfs the words until the screen stops scrolling. 2. Or when I have a white background with black text the text is a smeary mess that i can still see half way up the screen. This happens most of the time when I am scrolling, its not doing it right now for some reason but trust me it does. Unfortunately at first I thought it was just something that happened with this version of the monitor and that I could fix it with a firmware update. But when i go to Samsung's website the monitor does not show up anywhere so I guess there are no firmwares for this monitor. The only reason I now know it was just a bad panel probably is because i found a french post on samsungs french page that talks about the ghosting issue. Now two years later Im getting that regretful purchase thought because if i knew this was an issue I could of gotten a refund and returned the monitor buts its a little late now. Well thats on me. Great monitor for video content, but horrible for games and scouring the internet because of the horrible white and black smearing.
