HP Pavilion 17 Laptop, 17.3"

The HP Pavilion laptop computer was inoperable/broken out of the box. Within a few days I couldn’t use it at all. I asked for a replacement but was told by Oydisen Electronics that I was ineligible for support because I didn’t un-box the computer until the “return window” had passed. I was getting harddrive errors, and because the issue was so stressful, I decided to fix it on my own so I could then use it or sell it new. Hewlett-Packard refused the warranty work because of the 3rd party (Oydisen Electronics) purchase. I took the computer to a local repair shop and was told that it was completely inoperable, both the system board and the hard drive were damaged. Amazon *will not help*, and the vendor will not respond. The tone Amazon used with all 8 calls I made in 6 weeks was “you should have opened the item within 30 days.” The documented fact that the computer was broken at the start is lost on both Amazon and Oydisen Electronics clinging to their 30-day return policy. They literally do not care. Research has indicated that Oydisen Electronics opens up new computers and “upgrades” them. I was not aware of this, and have been told that this is most likely the reason it’s beyond repair. DO NOT use Amazon or Oydisen Electronics for electronic purchases. Any warranties will be voided out and you will literally lose the money spent.
