The G502 Killer. Everything Logitech Promised, But Better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
By Ollie on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2025
My journey to this mouse started with the Logitech G502. Everyone raves about its ergonomic shape, and they were right—it was one of the most comfortable mice I'd ever held. But then the issues started. It would lag, it would start scrolling when I wasn't even touching it, and the G HUB software was just plain horrible. I loved the feel, but couldn't get past the glitches and outdated software. Enter the Razer Basilisk V3. This mouse takes everything good about the G502, makes it better, and fixes every single thing that was wrong with it. It has the same amazing, comfortable ergonomic shape that feels SO good in your hand, but the performance is in a completely different league. It glides across my desk like butter, and after weeks of use, it has not had a single glitch, lag spike, or phantom scroll. It just works, flawlessly. And the app! The Razer Synapse software is a million times better than what I was used to. It's modern, intuitive, and actually a pleasure to use. Bottom Line: This mouse has genuinely made my gaming sessions more enjoyable and my daily work so much easier. I am absolutely in love. After this experience, I don't think I can ever go back to another brand. If you're a current or former G502 user who is frustrated with its issues, this is the upgrade you've been waiting for. 100% recommended.

Caveat Emptor!
By Ski Cat on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2025
I really wanted to like this mouse, given that it's expensive (retail price is $70) and comes from a company that generally has a good reputation. First, on a positive note. The mouse has the features that I wanted which included freespinning wheel, adjustable lighting, and the ability to configure buttons (the latter, at least theoretically). It is attractive and appears to be well-made. The hardware also appears to be designed well. It fits well in the hand and feels good, comfortable to use. Now, on to the problem. Razer includes essentially no instructions with the product. Instead, consumers are expected to download their software called Razor Synapse. . Presumably, the purpose of the software is to help the mouse user customize key functions with macros, key assignments, etc. However the software, like the hardware, comes with inadequate instructions, in my opinion. I have been unable to use it to develop macro operations or to assign specific functions to keys. I have looked at all the instructions on the Razer website and have looked at four or five different YouTube videos to try to understand how to make these adjustments. Although I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person (PhD degree) I have been unable to figure out how to make the software work. I spent at least half an hour on the telephone with an employee whose native language was clearly not English. Although he attempt to help me, his explanation of the process was little better than the Razer website. He sent me a couple of links to Razer videos which I had already seen and which took me in a circle. I received an email with a case number and responded that I was still unable to make the software work. I asked if it would be possible for me to speak with an employee who could walk me step-by-step through the process of adjusting the settings on the mouse. I am waiting to hear from them. It really should not be this difficult to make adjustments using software designed by the company itself. If I'm unsuccessful in ultimately getting help from Razer in making these adjustments, that I'll be forced to send the mouse back and try different a brand such as Corsair.
