Little things separate the great from the good and ASUS ROG line is just that.
By Adam on Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2025
Why did you pick this product vs others?: ASUS ROG puts a different feel to their products that you cant get from too many other manufacturers especially as consistently that they deliver it as well. There are no weak points to their products unlike some other manufacturers that focus on 1 or 2 aspects of their product and the rest is just okay enough. They take pride in their work and every product is crafted with the gamer in mind. Features like the bios flash option is a lifesaver instead of having to remove my GPU and reset CMOS by removing the battery when i accidentally set something wrong in the BIOS. Little things like that bring together a great product from a great company

ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II: Good, But Not Without Quirks
By Dadadaida on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2025
The ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II presents itself as a solid contender for any mid-to-high-range AMD build, and for the most part, it delivers. The aesthetics are classic ROG Strix – sleek, understated black with subtle RGB accents that look great in any build. It feels robust and well-built, giving confidence in its durability. Performance-wise, it handles Ryzen CPUs admirably, offering stable power delivery for gaming and general productivity, and the PCIe 4.0 support is a definite plus for modern GPUs and NVMe SSDs. The integrated WiFi 6E and Bluetooth are also excellent additions, providing fast and reliable wireless connectivity without needing extra dongles. However, despite its strengths, there are a few areas where this board falls short of true excellence, leading to a 3-star rating. While the feature set is extensive on paper, the BIOS can be a bit clunky to navigate at times, especially for those new to ASUS or more advanced tweaking – finding specific settings can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. More importantly, the software suite, Armoury Crate in particular, can be quite intrusive. It often auto-installs and can be difficult to fully remove or prevent from launching, sometimes causing resource overhead or conflicts. For a premium-priced B550 board, I also found the rear I/O to be somewhat lacking in USB ports compared to some competitors, especially if you have a lot of peripherals. In summary, the B550-F Gaming WiFi II is a capable motherboard that will serve most users well, offering stable performance and good wireless connectivity. However, the slightly cumbersome BIOS, overly aggressive software, and a somewhat limited rear USB count prevent it from being a truly outstanding, hassle-free experience. It's good, but consider your specific needs and tolerance for software management before committing.
