WD_Black 500GB SN770 NVMe SSD

Sandisk did finally provide remuneration for the cost of the SN770. It took a while, but they did honor the warranty. It was a good drive until it failed, but the support, while friendly, was slow. Be prepared to wait if you have issues with this drive after Amazon's return period. I am raising my rating to three stars. It is March 31 and I still have no resolution from WD Customer Service. I fear I'll just have to eat the purchase price. This SSD was purchased for a Satechi M1 MacMini hub and dock with SSD enclosure. The device worked flawlessly for almost a year before it suddenly stopped being recognized by the Mac. It was tried also with an M4 Mini and M1Max Mac Studio. The Satechi Dock continued to be functional. I have no issue with the part itself, but with WD/SanDisk Customer Support. I jumped through all the hoops to get an RMA approved and returned the failed SN770 for which they acknowledged receipt on 2/25/25. I still haven't received a replacement and they complained about inventory issues. Amazon has them in stock, so I don't think so. I will never purchase another WD SSD due to their very poor customer service. This part has a 5-year warranty.
