Amazing product

This little hub exceeded my expectation in almost every regard (OK fine it could cost a bit less - but you get what you pay for and more). First impression: it is much smaller than I expected and is feather light. The material looks quite nice (I have the grey one) and the build quality is excellent. Function test: everything works as they should on first try after connecting this to my Lenovo laptop running Ubuntu. The USB-C power passes through just fine and the laptop charges at full speed when the 65w power adapter is connected to the hub. HDMI is able to pass video/audio at 3440x1440@60hz to my ultrawide monitor with no observable issue(I don't have a 4K monitor so I can say how well it works at that resolution). Both card readers work with no problem. After an hour of continuous use (with power pass-through, HDMI and one USB3.0 port in use), the hub is barely warm to the touch. I have not tested the ethernet port, though the OS does recognized the ethernet port being present and unplugged. Minor issue: the HDMI output gets briefly interrupted if the external USB-C power is removed. Not a big issue since things come back after 2-3 seconds (though your windows may be re-arranged by the OS). The hub works just fine by drawing power from the computer. What can make this product even better: a slight longer cord will help. Is it possible to put another USB-c output? (though no other hub seem to have this either).

Doesn't deliver on (multi-connect) performance (Updated)
By Snoot! Awesome Nasal Cleanser on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2019
This seemed to work well for a couple of days, but now it seems to just get overwhelmed or something, freezing the inputs from my keyboard and generally creating some hardware havoc on my MacBook air. Had to type that word "hardware" twice, since it is missing keystrokes now. My setup: AOC HDMI Monitor (30"), apple KB, logitech webcam. That's it. Not even using half of the ports. Before, I was running power through the USBC as well and that would hang all of the time. UPDATE: So they contacted me directly about my review. I have continued to use the product, but only in a very limited way. They offered me a refund, which I accepted. We discussed whether a replacement would be worth trying but our conclusion was that the product probably is not as capable as the number of ports would imply. I think the product can work well if you just plug one or two things into it (max), which is how I use it now. I added two stars to the review for the customer service and their honesty regarding its capabilities. Net-net, if you need a swiss-army knife of a hub, where you just connect one or two things, then you're probably good to go. As a simultaneous multi-port hub, look elsewhere.
