Almost perfect.....

The monitor was well packed and arrived with zero issues. This is the 7th different ultra wide monitor I have purchased and I can say it's one of the best so far. In my quest to find the best Ultra wide for the money this is my #1 choice for gaming and #3 for work. Cons: The base is huge and will take up a lot of desk space. Better to use a monitor mount if possible. Of all the monitors I have used this one is 2nd to last. Only better than the Samsung G5 34 inch because nothing on the market is worse. My only other con may not be for others. This monitor is part of the Argon series and yet the back of the monitor is generic. No LEDs like on the 32 inch. Pros: This is the best Hassel free 1000R curve I have used. It's also the best priced. The color immersion in games are really good. Here is a list of Ultra wide monitors I have tested and used in my personal order of likes. I use my Ultra wide in conjunction with a 2560x1440 32 inch and I put them both on a single mount. I so moderate gaming and work in Radiology. 1. Dell 34 inch Ultra wide (best base, best colors, best price at under $400, 1500R curve so best if doing both gaming and office work) 2. AOC Argon 34 inch Ultra wide (best for gamibg with the 1000R curve, wish it had the brightness of the Dell and Alienware, great price at $400) 3. Alienware 34 inch UW IPS panel (second best base, best overall color, but way to expensive at $720) 4. Gigabyte 34 inch UW IPS panel (best IPS panel for the money) 5. Samsung G5 34 inch UW (the worst base, also the worst firmware off any monitor. If you set to run as 1.4 DP depending on your video card you're probably going to get screen flicker. Doesn't matter if you're using AMD or Nvidia if you set this morning to turn off or go black screen to avoid burn-in good luck getting it to wake back up. Probably the best gaming monitor I have ever tested and it's not even close but with the pathetic base and firmware it's not worth the headache) 6. Gigabyte 34 inch UW VA panel (A good low cost UW if you can get it for under $330) 7. Scepter 43 inch Ultra wide (avoid like the plague, zero curve makes this monitor difficult to view on a desk)

Never Been More Disappointed...
By Alex Lee on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2024
Let's get nitty gritty. STAY AWAY from this monitor. I've been doing content creation for a few years now and am somehow only now hearing about the term DCI-P3. Why am I just now understanding this term you ask? That would be because this monitor only has a rating of 87% according to Tom's Hardware. If you aren't familiar with what DCI-P3 is, it's basically a fancy way to summarize color accuracy on a screen. And 87% is HORRIBLE, with the average monitor siting at 95% in the year 2024 - so, in a way, I was forced to understand the term BECAUSE OF THIS DISPLAY. You might think to yourself "eh, that's not too big of a deal", but no, it really is. Compared to ALL of my past monitors, this thing's colors are abysmal. No matter how much time I put into tweaking the colors and lighting, this display doesn't hold a torch to ANY of my others. And when it comes to content creation, that is a nightmare. I am forced to juggle thumbnail creation between devices just to verify the accuracy of color and delivery. Now, if you thought that wasn't bad enough, buckle your seat belts ladies and gents, because after only 6 months, the screen has already developed a dead pixel. I have been pc gaming for 15 years and have gone through a plethora of monitors. But I can confidently say that this is the first time that I have ever gotten a dead pixel on ANY of my displays let alone even seen one in person before. Don't be like me - instead, go buy the Dell S3422DWG. It's at a similar price and has way better reviews. And if you don't like Dell, MSI and ASUS just released a new line of significantly more color accurate displays to choose from. I will be ditching this display soon and changing out to something more reliable myself.
