Excellent lighting, saves space, and easily mountable
By Ericman967 on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2024
I bought three of these lights for product reviews and instructional videos - they're fantastic! The lights are relatively inexpensive, they're easily mountable on poles, desk tripods, and monitors, and they don't take up much space. You can control them with the buttons on back or Logitech G Hub on your computer. They plug into a standard USB A type outlet...you probably have several on your computer, monitor, or chargers. You can also use a USB C cable and plug into the back of the light. Lots of functionality. The quality of lighting is also very good, it's diffused, but emitted from a small object that would still show up on your glasses for a webcam. I've seen streamers point them behind their monitor to the wall to eliminate the reflection in their glasses and provide softer, more even lighting.Overall, highly recommendable and you can occasionally catch them on sale.

Great light, but horrible macOS software
By Aaron Turner on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2022
I really like this light... it's easy to setup and mount on my screen. The cable management is slick and frankly it's really well designed. Much better than other lights I've tried. If I was just rating the hardware, it would be an easy 5 stars. The software that controls it is a different beast altogether.I seriously have no idea what the people at Logitech were thinking. There is small app that can run in the top status bar on macOS... but it doesn't even support the most basic functionality like turning on or off the light. You have to open the full app for that. Why????The app itself is a confusing mess that I can only describe as intentionally confusing. As someone who has used "vim" to write code for over 20 years, I am very familiar with difficult to understand user-interfaces. But this is a GUI app that is harder to use than a newbie trying to figure out how to exit vim.The app has this really cool feature of auto-detecting when you're using an application like Zoom to turn on so you're well lit for you call. But the stupid software immediately turns off the light if you change focus to another application to take notes, browse the web or whatever. Heck, even going into the Logitech software to manage the light to force it to stay on turns off the light?I can only assume the Logitech developers were never given some of these lights and have never used them for even 5 minutes because they'd quickly realize they've developed a hot mess of an application. The other option is that the developers hate their customers and actively wish to piss them off. If so, then I can only say they have succeeded. If I was just rating the software it would be 1 star.
